Here is the one that a couple of us did a few years back on our ck35's imagine it would be the same for your 3510.

Did you use the valve listed in the "sinatra method" or something else?

How's that function?

For some resin I am getting stuck on the valve type. I think I've found a few options looking at other kits that are out there, and can be into a valve and base for under $200.

But when you start swing kits for $450 (bailey) or hopefully a kioti with hoses for $650....

Just so you're aware, I'm not sure the Kioti brand is a "true" third function. I lose curl/dump when I open/close my grapple, so I'm thinking it's a diverter style. But...my experience with tractors isn't all that much, so I could be mistaken. I verified everything is installed correctly, because my thinking was that I shouldn't have lost curl/dump with a true third function. But whatever. I've learned to work around it.

FYI, just bought a Kubota and had THE Kubota third function installed. Was told would be able to operate it with the other fel functions, well now we realize it will not lift when the 3rd function is being used. Have been told that was true of those type of systems but dealer's sales person last told me he will check on it for he was told they (3rd functions) should be able to be used with the fel functions.

Yup. I wasn't a fan. That's why others have modified the existing handle to add buttons and such. You get used to it after a while.

Not a fan of it either really. The nice handle it has(d) to begin with (the JD style) is much more comfortable. Really not sure why they could not put the open/close buttons the same place JD does and operate it with your thumb instead of first (2) fingers.

You do get used to it however. Still a PITA to switch between my tractor and the old mans.

I agree. Especially with the NX model. They tout the ergonomic handle in all their literature and then if you want a third function they remove it and put on a basic knob? That's unacceptable.

What workarounds are possible? Justman mentions modifying the existing handle which I would be interested in. Or is it possible that the John Deere kit would work (not sure how similar the handles are)? Just looking for a way to keep my handle and have thumb operated buttons like you said.

Kioti's loaders are impressive and they tout that as a selling point as they should, but things like this and their crappy valve that eliminates the ability to do two functions at once (practically, anyway) kind of take some of the shine off of it. As someone considering buying a Kioti it's definitely not a deal breaker, but it is an oversight on their part.

I'm reasonably sure some creative person with a bit of time on their hands could move the buttons from the ugly stick to the ergonomic stick...and then show us all how to do it!

I found it to be more of a "want" thing than a "need" thing though. I liked the ergonomic handle because it looked cool. That being said, I came from a JD2305, and the handle was a little black knob thing. The ugly stick with buttons is still better than what I had, and it works just fine.

You nailed my thoughts exactly. Handle is nice, it痴 great, and I hate that I would have to get rid of it. I feel like shouldn稚 have to... But the overall effect on production is zero.

Used this valve and sub plate, looks like valve is no loner available. Might be able to find it on ebay. Valve works very good no issues and opens and closes the grapple quickly. Just make sure what ever valve you pick is open center.

Here is the handle I used Absolutely love the ergonomics, very easy to operate the 2 buttons with my thumb.

Thanks man!

Where'd you buy the Handle? So far this is one of the more costly parts!

Also, hows the speed on the actuation, is it super fast and jerky?

I'm reading this morning and now back to considering a diverter valve. While it can't do lift/curl/close at the same time, feathering the grapple close could be useful.

I decided that I refuse to pay my local Kioto dealer $1200.00 for a 3rd function setup for my tractor. I have two options to consider. The 1st is to buy two hoses to connect onto my rear remote and make the needed brackets to mount the hoses on my FEL. The second option would be to buy the parts and make my own.

You should be able to buy a small rocker switch and install it in your handle. That is what I am going to try and do. I hate the Kioti 3rd function handle.
