Kubota B 2620-RTV 500
I have had my BX 25 for a couple of years now. It has been a great machine, with just a couple of minor problems. I had hoped to move to a B-series sometime this fall,(For all the obvious reasons that have been disscused on here). While at the dealership yesterday, found a BX and a B2920 parked next to each other. Just out of curosity I stepped up on the B to see how it felt. First thing I noticed was that the B floorboard was somewhat higher than the BX. It could"nt have been more than 2 or 3 inches higher than the BX, but to my old arthritic knees it seemed more like 6". Have searched around the net quiet a bit to see if anyone makes a step for the BX- B's. I am frankly surprized that no one has one on the makket as I am certain that a large percentage of BX and B buyers are (like me) old retired geezers that don"t get around so good anymore. I am surprised that (B-X expanded or Bro-tec) have not fabricated such a thing. It just seems to me that they would be fairly easy to fabricate and would be really big sellers. Your thoughts?

When I had my B7100 I thought of step but decide no do to woods use mostly...mostly flat ground operation don't see why not adding step.

Same for me, I have to use the MMM deck as a "step" or use a small step stool if the MMM is removed to get on our BX and it's even worse on the B. I have no trouble getting on our L5030 or M8540.

Due to being handicapped I could never get on my B2320 without the step. The local Kubota dealer made it for my B7300. When I sold that I modified it to fit the new machine. I believe that they used a step from another model Kubota. I haven't had any issues with ground clearance.

Very nice set up, looks like a step off of an L modified.

One of the guys at my local dealer said he had seen steps from other tractors modified to fit the B"s. But he could not remember which model they came off of.--- rpraymond, that really looks nice. Now I have a case of step envy.

The step off the B3300su fits the B3200 for sure, and might even fit the B2x20's, I looked under the floor board and saw the mounitng plates, on my B3200. Have not look under the B2x20's floor board yet to check it on this.

I bought a factory Kubota step for my B2630 right from the dealer. It was under $20 and made all the difference. I think Kubota makes steps for all the tractors, just not sure why they're not included. Check a parts diagram, you might be surprised.

My B3030 has a step. It makes all the difference. The odd time I climb up on the off (right hand) side and sure notice the lack of step.
No issues with catching it on anything.

Any chance of getting pics of the mounting plates, Troy?

I ask because I had my dealer order a B3300 step for my B3200 after reading here that it fits. Well, unless I'm blind or stupid (probably) there's no way!
Now, the dealer just replaced the floor board for the vibration issue, so maybe they left something off from the original???
All I received is a horseshoe shaped step, so I thought perhaps there is mounting hardware that I didn't get.

Thanks

Ken

I bought a U shaped step for a truck one time for around $20 at an auto parts store. Not sure but it may have even pivoted up out of the way and I think it was Chrome.

I bought the same step for my B3030 and it fit right on. The left side of the floor pan should have a bracket welded to it and two weld nuts on the front angled part of the floor. The step comes with no extra pieces. Is it possible that the floor pan the dealer replaced is different from the original?

Kubota makes a left hand step for the B2630/3030 which also fits on the B3200 and the B3300. They all use the same floorboard/fender setup but I have not looked if the step will fit the B**20 or not. Might be close enough to retrofit. Only cost about $20 form Kubota.

Thanks guys.

Rob, your posts explain my problem. They sent me part number 6C230-71693, which has different mounting tabs. I printed your image and took it out to the 3200 and it's obvious that will fit perfectly.
I'm calling them in a few minutes to exchange for the correct part.
thanks again for all the help, my hips really need this step. ;-(

There are times now when I really need all the help I can get getting on, and off the tractor. When I saw a B3300SU with the step I was surprised,a and did some measuring. Surprisingly the floorboard on the B2x20 series is somewhat longer that the floorboard on the larger B series so the step brackets would have to be lengthened, but I'm sure it wouldn't be much problem for a competent dealer, or good welder. It is not, however, a bolt on switch. I just gotta buy the bigger B to get the smaller step I guess! :D :D

Tried to do this last night, but was getting a big updateand couldn't do. Dial up sucks!!!!!
Well anyway this is how I made mine for the BX2660. It's 12" wide X 6" high. The top cross part is 3/8" x 1" and the others are 1/4" X 1 1/4" and 1 1/2". It has 3 adjusting holes, only one hole is used and that is 5/16". You could use a pin I guess, but it might move around a little.
The step has to come off when using the MMM deck.
