Thanks guys for all the info. Will be signing papers today on a new B2320 w. FEL, back blade, 4' bushhog and 18' dovetail 10,000# dual axle trailer. Will be using the tractor to move trailer for sure!
Getting old. Sold the ranch. Sold the tractors. Moved back to the city.
Easy solution that will solve your "tight space" problem:
- Drag your truck, trailer and tractor load up to your camp in the woods (remembering, of course, to bring a few gallons of mosquito repellant).
- Unload the tractor and other stuff you're hauling on the trailer.
- Unhitch the trailer from the truck and get the truck out of the way.
- Use the ball hitch that you've installed on your FEL bucket--here's the one I rigged onto my Mahindra 5525 (a couple of 3/4" bolts welded to the reinforcing plate on the top of the bucket to carry the 2" receiver)
- Hitch up to the trailer and maneuver it with your tractor to get it pointed in the return direction.
I'm getting a drawbar that positions between the 3 pt. lift arms & has a receiver bracket that accepts my truck drawbar (hitch) and think I'll be using the tractor to move the trailer a lot.
This is a great site & you guys are a big help. Also nice to have a long-term family business dealer who wants me to have what works.
Very nice. That looks a lot like my trailer, but I have slide in ramps instead. The slide in ramps are heavy also, so the ones you have are a lot less work. The only problem with them is they can get in the way if you want to hang something off the back a little bit, but so far with my trailer, the standup ramps would have never been in the way.
