Trailering thy Tractor

You can probably do it, but I'd hate to and I'll do things most won't. Keep in mind pulling won't be the problem. Controlling it at 55 and stopping will be! I think you are crazy if you don't rent somehting to pull it with or pay someone else to haul it for you. Also you are actually illegal pulling a trailer without brakes in some states.

I believe that brakes are required at 1000 GVW in NY. I remember back in 1964 I was towing home a 1926 Buick on a 2 axle trailer without brakes hooked to my 1964 Chevy Impala Convertible. I went over the railroad tracks and the trailer started to fish tail. I was all over the road and the only thing that saved me was that I was on the emergency squad and had a huge blue light on the dash.... I flipped the switch on the light and leaned on the siren..... traffic cleared and I was able to get it under control using both lanes. If it were not for the light and siren, I probably would have taken out a few cars and heaven knows how many people. After that, I parked the trailer, unloaded the car and had the car brought home on the back of a wrecker. Left the trailer in a field near home and one night it dissappeared...... I feel sorry for who ever stole it.......
