Thanks D-
I had a 1997 F-250 7.3 and sold it with 217k and it was still a great truck. Then bought a 2002 F-350 7.3 and ran it till 182k and saw the writing on the wall on fuel prices. Sold it while diesel was still "reasonable" and ordered this 2008 V-10 just the way I wanted it. So far I have 22k and it has really impressed me with it's power. Mileage is fair, but I didn't buy it for the mileage; I bought it to work. Even towing heavy with a loaded trailer, I get around 10mpg. Empty I get 11.5-12 depending on my foot and how many kids try me. If I had to do it again, I would not change a thing. All of the new diesels are having troubles with the new soot boxes, regens, low mileage, etc. I am a gasser dude now, but I don't regret it.
