I put up a 40x60 3 years ago and used a rope type sealer caulk used for sealing comercial ductwork. Was not a big problem to use.I personally wanted to use on the very top sections for when the snow is sitting there in the winter.

The rep I got the building from said not to use caulk and if I did he said only use it at the top of the arches.

Yes the clouds had me nervous too rain was all around us that day but stayed away but the wind was blowing good.

I've gotten several of the arches up and all was going fine until this afternoon. We put up the 4th and last arch of the day, we lifted the one side and bolted the bottom and a few at the top then we lifted the other side and again bolted the bottom and then started down the one side as usual. We got the the bottom panel and it was more difficult than the others had been. At that time my guys were going for the day. I stopped to see why it was being so difficult and I had noticed that the bottom panels on both sides seemed to be at an angle. This makes me think something is wrong as the other arches do not have this angle. I know the base plates are squared and level. We checked the arches with a plumb bob to make sure they were not favoring one direction. I'm not sure if this is common or if I have another problem. I took a few pic's and was hoping someone could give me some thoughts as to the situation.

I built one two years ago, made by SteelMaster, out of Canada. Didn't use any caulk at all and it is weather tight. We have had some heavy rains this year and I've been in the barn for some of them so I know for a fact that it doen't leak.

Who built yours, tile?

Where in FL are you located? I'm west of Gainesville & the background looks familiar.
