TX 2160F, with front loader and backhoe, long term project

Trial fit on going, I had to make a new exhaust as the kubota one was to far out from the engine, I used the old stainless steel heat shield for some bling,
Some twisting for the bracers to get them lining up nice and tight.

Trying to show as much as possible incase anyone else has a go at making a frame, its a question which crops up now and again, this is a spreader bar half way down the flat bars.

Still making progress, finally got the replacement backhoe fitted to the rear of the tractor, the mounting frames were slightly different so I had to cut of the hooks and mount the old part with the bar through it,

Then the short channels were fitted to the loader where the backhoe frame connects to, lots of setting up to get this lined up as close as it needs to be, making sure as much was as right as it was going to be.

Hydraulic pump is on order so it will be interesting to see how that goes, fingers crossed, chromed steel for the rams will be here in the next week or so, then the plan is to strip it all and get it shot blasted and painted, make some buckets get them sent away for painting too, long term the tractor will probably get some paint too.

Got the hydraulic pump home, made a bracket for hanging it of the top link bracket,

Some modifcations were required to get it to fit in between the existing 4 point linkage brackets, they have been dressed back inline with the rear mounting hooks for the backhoe, I will never use them so cutting them off was not an issue.

I have been stripping and deburring everything for the sand blasters, the tractor is going to get a paint now, no sense leaving it until later. Loader, backhoe, all the brackets are on this pallet.

I am going to modify the backhoe spool valve mounting, as it is it is awkward or near impossible to get the spools out, I am going to cut the plate out and weld on some brackets so the plate will bolt on, making access to the spools easy in the future.

Good to see you've sorted a pump.

Strangely there is no support bracketery on mine, just a chain to prevent it spinning. Its a right pig to remove from the PTO shaft, so I'm wondering if its going to be even more difficult with your bracket?

Hi Steve, there was no bracket or chain on that pump either, there was mounting holes so I just cut some aluminium to suit, I was a little concerned about the pump hanging of the pto shaft long term, so when I was making a bracket I though about just making one to support the pump a little, yes its very tight and mine is bigger than yours in physical size I think as I had to cut away the origonal mounts for the rotovator, but what was done to help with removal as I can just get my finger tips on the undoing collar was make a C shaped spanner which slides onto the collar and pushes it back assisiting with removal of the pump also, I post a picture up at a later date when things are back together a bit.

I've still not had time to take my digger off yet. As and when I do, I'll get more photos for you.

Have you sorted out the hydraulic pipe route as I could sketch out the route if that helps.

Haha, I struggle with the patience with painting, its just not my thing.... lets see how it goes, as long as the blue paint is thick I will be happy. the one good thing is I am not working at it at home just now so it is out the way, thats a bonus.

Made a start on threading the chrome bar for the rams today, it went better than expected no issues, gripped the chrome bar on aluminium plates between it and the lathe chuck jaws, no marks and it never spun even when threading. 2 down 8 to go, today was all about getting the method correct.

I went and got 3 pallets of bits today all blasted and primed lots of work ahead yet, its needing a tidy up on the red oxide front as it was just thrown on the pallets after painting so its all scratched, not to worry I was ready for that and happy its all blasted,
