Many 16 to 21 year olds don't have a clue about how to handle money, auto maintaince, or anything of the practicle nature.

A guy at work had his stepdaughter call him for help, her car battery was dead and two US Army soldiers stopped to help her but none of them knew how to jump a car! The girl I could almost understand, but two soldiers Hey Beetle the humV battery is dead and they're shooting at us, do ya know how to use these jumper cables??

One of my favorites is in the , I think its the J.C. Whitney Catalog. They have a toilet seat that plugs in your receiver hitch. Waning label says "NOT FOR USE WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION".

I was telling the better half about some of the post and she showed me a ham, it has a warning on it that says, "FULLY COOKED, REMOVE WRAPPER BEFORE SERVING".

That pretty much sums it up.

I think that warning labels have their place. I think someone else said it earlier in this thread that they have become so prevalent and frivolous that the relevant ones get overlooked.

The Humv has a receptacle near the hood for special cables, just like the jeeps. You can jumpstart a humv with these cables without batteries on board. Think welding cables.

Speaking of those receps and cables. our mechanics truck at work has a set of HD contacts up front and when our mechanic has to boost something he just pulls up and then plugs inthe big 1-0 cables and boosts.. works pretty good.
