Wacky Warning Labels

Shane, nothing spectacular from Harbor Freight this time, I picked up a few closeout items such as some stainless steel shackles, 4000 pound lifting hooks with wire rope sheaves, multimeter test leads, rolls of narrow emery cloth, and a 500 amp 12 VDC load tester which finally was offered at a price I was wiling to pay.

I was back ordered on some male and female 3 prong extension cord ends.

If you wait long enough most everything they stock eventually is offered at a significant reduction, either in the store, in a catalog or mailing, or on the internet. They often offered the lighter duty load tester at really reduced prices but the one I wanted never seemed to be cut that much but It finally hit my threshold after a while.

A little patience helps, that and training from parents who went through the great depression. It took me a year and a half of searching before I finally found a good discount on my DeWalt 12 inch sliding compound miter saw. Got it delivered for over a hundred bucks less than Lowe's price. Clearly, I had an alternative (old 10 inch non sliding, not compound) I was limping along with.

Well, don't bother. They are very tough and chewy, even with a good marinade.

When i used to work in electrical repair..we techs had codes we would write on the tickets to describe the problem.... your 'idiot' comment reminded me of the 'codes'

The boss one day notice dthose codes.. and didn't know what they meant.. but was familiar with our other more 'technical' codes.. etc.. he asked us about them... and uh.. we had to stop using them..

My parents were never like that!! I'm now 14, and have too learned things the hard way. Its the fun way, it really is. Now seriously, i almost blew myself up with a lawnmower engine, but you almost have to try to hurt yerself mowing the lawn. Its not that dangerous. Few things are if you know (or think you do) about what your doing. Ahhhhha, lifes good :-D

On the 3 page instruction/warning list that came in the box with a new KNIFE was:

"Caution Contents Sharp"

Now I don't know about y'all but I was flat out shocked speachless that they felt the need to put a warning like that with a knife.. I mean what's next, warning labels on bottled water saying "Caution contents of bottle are wet"??
