Yeah. Many times he has called me names. At one time he even changed his signature to do it. He has called my Son and Grandson idiots.

My contribution is I fight back. I'm going to work on that.

Most of us on TBN have at one time or another acted, behaved, or posted something stupid, condescending, or outright name calling; it's what people do... I have had plenty of dust ups with /pine, but I don't believe he means to be hurtful, or mean. I just think he is what he say's he is... right to the point based on his perspective. Sometimes... a spade is a spade.

Yep. And I call that naïve.

And I call that pretty petty for all involved to keep poking each other over and over and over again. Let it go fellas. Get back to the conversation.

When I was maybe 3 I heard my grandmother say in a loud voice to my grandfather... "Have you lost your marbles?"

I was not present in the room but clearly heard.

I just happened to have a small cloth bag with a few marbles in my room so I retrieved it upstairs and then went into the living room and offered my marbles to my Grandfather with all the adults present... their was silence and then a roar of laughter so loud it frightened me.

That story has been family lore ever since...

I was a website moderator for 10 years on a very well known website and quit. It was becoming too challenging to keep breaking up petty arguments. It was usually the same few people with the same grudge held over for years. Admittedly, I myself have of course been involved in dust ups. Sometimes you don’t know you’re offending someone just by your mere existence. You may have something they covet, and they hate you for it. Then they start calling you names and then the retaliation and then it’s game on. I’m not saying that’s the case with our 2 esteemed colleagues on TBN, but that’s how it was where I was a mod.

If you read my bio you will see I'm a sucker. Too many hobbies as it is and I am a DIY guy. Why hire someone when I can do it... not as good, in more amount of time, more frustration and cussing? But I end up with more tools! Can't wait to retire so I can screw around more than I do now. Just praying the market will come back and beyond before I quit or get booted. 5+ years was the plan but afraid to look at the moment.
That describes me to a T.

I can usually accomplish a moderately simple job in about 10 times as many man hours (especially if I include research and shopping), lower "finish" quality and 10 times the cost as hiring someone, the first time I do it.
The second and subsequent times the man hours decline greatly, the cost drops like a rock (I already bought the tools) and finish quality increases. And I don't have to worry about dealing with slow workers, I am one.
In 2012 we had planned to retire to Mississippi in 5 years. But I'm beginning to think I need to only count our anniversaries, which only occur on Feb 29th, leap years.

To quote John Lennon, " Life is what happens while you are planning other things"...
