You assume they have no scanners or metal detectors? Have you considered the risk to gain ratio? If you are convicted, are you aware of the penalty? It's up to you. I just hope you are aware and don't advise others to do the same.

Dear Mom,
I am aware of the risk. I didn't encourage you or anyone else to do the same as me.

If you are carrying concealed who will ever know? I'll take my chances. :)

That's a federal crime...consider that...

I have an LCP...nice little gun and even if it doesn't stop an assailant, it'll slow 'em down enough to get away. The LCP is small enough and light enough to carry in a shirt or vest (great vest pocket gun!!!).

I'm following this thread since I'd like a better holster then I have now. I'm using an Uncle Mikes which holds the gun OK, but will shift around the pocket.
One thing to consider about any holster for an LCP is the small size of the grip. It's a two finger pull anyway and any holster might make it worse.
Another carry method to consider is one of those clips that mount to the side of the slide so you can clip it to the waistband of your trousers. Quite a few guys with those little Kel-Tec .32's use these...I think Sound Guy uses one, in fact.

Roy, I'm looking at one of the holsters that the pistol remains in it when you shoot. There are several reviews on YouTube that are favorable. Cabelas even sell the LCP with a wallet holster. I want something to slip in my pocket every single day no matter what I am wearing. I just can't find anyone who has one that can give me the pros/cons of different brands.

Well,i think you should carry a 1911 45. You don't wanna shoot a meth head with a 380 only to piss them off. Just kidding. I have seen those at gun shows and liked them. If i had a small 380, I would buy one of those wallet holsters.

You would you want a 380? Really?

Get a holster that stays in your pocket when you pull your gun and practice using it. Practice using it before you have to

i have a keltec p3at and p32. both hav ethat commonly seen, NFA legal, 'wallet holster'

they've been in the holster since the moment i purchased both guns.

don't ever plan on taking them out unless I need to change the holster due to wear or damage.

works great for me.

wallet holsters for ruger lcp - Bing Images

hope it shows.

it's the one where the top slide is completely visible.. thus making it nfa legal ie.. it's a fitted piece of leather sandwiching a foam substraight and the gun fits into it making it pattern rectangluar.. it has 2 holes.. one for trigger and one for a finger to retian it when fireing. no need to remove from holder to fire.

when 'presented' it's top slide is un obstructed, and is thus legal and not qualifying as an 'any other weapon' and needing a form 4 transfer and 5$ tax stamp.. like some early wallet holsters that were 'shoot thru' and had leateher completely covering the top slide of the gun so that when 'presented' it was not totally clear it was a weapon..e tc.
