That spiral splitter terrifies me just thinking about it.
And the PTO powered Post Hole Drill is a close second.
However , for fatalities, the 3pt mounted back hoe led the list of farm accidents for so many years that tractor dealers used to have signs on the wall warning about them.
Regardless of the danger, our family had one and used that 3pt PTO-driven BH for years without incident...and then one day it almost got me. Missed by an inch... I had done the classic mistake which was forgetting to disengage the tractor draft control. Climbed aboard, started the hoe, which then promptly tried to fold the operating levers back into the seat.... trapping the operator. Yes, the forgetful person was myself. It only pinned the tail of my shirt as I bailed off sideways. Too many were less lucky..
But I can learn, and what I learned was to sell that BH for scrap that very day.
