What do you do with your Instant Pot you cant do with a crock pot?

Anyhow back to the Instant Pot - my wife won't touch it. Something about fear of a pressure cooker that she was taught as a child.

She insists I'm the sole designated Instant Pot chef.

At least she'll advise on suitable ingredients and seasoning, she knows I'm not a cook.

I envy you guys who really know what you're doing.

Maybe you can get her to prepare the ingredients and you cook them in the Instant Pot. Win win.

If you enjoy the speed of the Instant Pot and the superb tenderness and flavor of the food, that's about all that matters. There is still a place for Slow-Cooker food too.

Exactly. I am going to upgrade to a new slow cooker soon. In addition to good soups, etc. there is something to be said about the smell of slow cooking food in the house all day long. Yum :licking:

Somebody mentioned goulash and I meant to go back and read it. That is one of our next meals, as soon as I* finish eating all the leftover turkey from Christmas day. :shocked:

*my wife is done with it. It is up to me and the dogs. About 4 lbs of meat to go

We do 3-Day meals. Foods like Spaghetti, Goulash, Lentils and Beef Stroganoff are better the 2nd and 3rd day. Not sure why.

We have Dinner (Supper) at Noon and Lunch at 5:00pm. Trying not to be food saturated in the evenings.

I seem to be stuck on turkey sandwich with sauerkraut. Burp. One of my dogs (the cattle dog) loves turkey and is known for passing gas. I am depending on her to use up the turkey. She sleeps on the floor in her bed next to the headboard. I wake up during the night and the whole room smells like turkey soup. :shocked:

I went to the store and bought 2 turkeys on sale (after Christmas sale) because I am cheap. This pattern is bound to repeat. :laughing:

No. Tried some homemade up in PA Dutch country last fall, thought it was aweful. Had a coworker that made his own, his was good.
