What have you done to your Branson today?

Using a Land Pride 72" brush hog with fairly sharp blades. I have been considering a Bush Hog brand finish mower, but have not pulled the trigger.

My last surviving best friend finally came up here to see me this weekend from Phoenix. Only been trying to get him up here for 8 years for a visit. Anyway, we had a good time, got to shoot some guns off in the back yard, did some sight seeing, and I let him run my tractor around. He's a city boy, and never driven a tractor (or any other equipment) before. After a quick 10 minute crash course, he was off and mowing my pasture. Didn't hit anything, barn or fence. He did start flying down the line while cutting, and must have skipped the mower off of something, because he sheared a pin, but since he didn't know any different, he just kept going around. I walked back out to the pasture after getting my mail, and noticed the grass wasn't getting cut.

A quick pit stop to swap the broken shear pin, and he was back at it again. With the reminder that it's a "fast walk" pace, not pedal to the metal. Lol.

Anyway, he had a lot of fun. Big grins as he went by, and he was able to get the hang of the controls really quickly. Didn't have him do any FEL work (didn't need any done), but showed him how it worked. Dropped him off tonight at the airport to go home, and he said without a doubt, running the tractor was the highlight of his visit.

Glad your friend had a good time and enjoyed his seat time.

"running the tractor was the highlight of his visit." Same thing my 13 year old nephew said! :)

CLUTCH RETURN SPRING!!!!! 2006 model 3510i.... broke at 178 hours.

Dang, does every Branson tractor break this spring?

Going to hit up TSC or ACE Hardware for a replacement ....

if not, then I'll try out this new "Three Rivers eqpt" that took over "Big Red's" in Granbury

Full service...air filter, fuel filter, oil filter and fluid change, trans filter and fluid. My 193000 mile F-150 got about the same. Needless to say I was a little greasy when I got done.

All I did today was take the brush hog off so I could put on the trailer hitch and use my tractor to pull my log splitter around and into my shop. Couldn't get the splitter's B&G engine to start. Seems we've had so much rain last week that my log splitter's gas tank got a bunch of water in it, which preceded to fill the carb bowl when I opened the gas petcock. After figuring out the cause, and draining and replacing gas in tank, also blowing out the carb and cylinder through the spark plug hole, it fired right up again. Then used the tractor to pull it back around again to where I needed to use it. Only lost a few hours on that one (had to go get clean gas, and a tarp to cover the splitter with for "next time").

Got my logs split, and then my yard around the house mowed. Didn't get down into the pasture to do any mowing today like I'd hoped though.

Today's seat time consisted on mowing an half acre field about 50 miles away with some brush, lots of canes.

It also gave me an opportunity to test out the homemade loader as I just got it working this week.

I pushed it hard and everything held just fine. Found one flaw that is I can't take the radiator screen out because it will hit the cross bar to the front of the tractor. Need to figure something out on that.
