It’s more the population hyper sensitive to fire…My roasts make little visible smoke to begin with and if it's gonna be a smoker, I do it after sunset. Again, around here it's all about common sense and discretion. Guess out your way, local governments feel their citizens haven't the maturity to use discretion.
Presently, I'm waiting for a rain event myself. Looks promising but no cigar this morning.
The farm is in a valley with thousands of acres of parkland on one side and multimillion dollar homes with vineyards on the other and the only thoroughfare runs along farm property.
City dwellers come out to enjoy the park and from the park staging area see the burn piles…
No accelerant is to be used…
All government agencies found full compliance but that is separate from a motorists or park visitor with a cell phone calling 911 reporting fire…
