And I like Home Depot more than Lowes.

Fruit.
Tractors.
Who'd drink cheap tequila when you can get good stuff for a few dollars more??? Cazadores.
The list goes on......

IMHO 3-6k over the years you own/lease/rent/borrow your equipment should be part of a toal package deal in service/parts/maintenance and personal happiness.

If your happy with three years of worry free operations, have established that relationship with your dealer/provider why sweat the dollars?

Well for me I'm one of them so called middle aged wannabe's with a $20,000 motorcycle.
A Branson 4720, not really sure if it's red or orange?
And yes I'm smoking Marlboros.
The Branson and the Harley are keepers, thinkin about gettin rid of the Marlboros.
I also looked hard for a 40-50hp tractor.
I might add I'm very happy with my 47hp Branson just not sure what color it is,
then again it really dont matter to me, it's built well and fits me well plus my dealer is 100% ok!

When I have to plow I don't care what color it is if it gets the job done.But JD is one of the best at pulling pound for pound. just sold a JD 2520 72 hp two wheel drive .the disc harrow and subsoiler that went with it , it could pull with easy.The 80 hp MF 283 4.wheel drive has a hard time with it.They both are good tractors ,But the JD is geared better hp to hp.and I have had them both in the field in the last few mouths.

Now I wonder which thread that referst to. Actually I only prefer the farther lowes store from me. The one that is closer could be a home depot with the type of service they give.

I called lowes about 1 pm thursday after my 115 bundles of shingles came in on tues and told them they were supposed to deliver them on friday but I needed them early so my roofer could get started early on friday. I asked if I could have them thurs but would settle for early friday. They were at my house unloaded by 4 pm thursday. I can not get that service from HD or the other lowes actually

I thought i was looking for comments with the truck remark but to mention you ride a harley. Motorcycle riders are the worst about how much better/ worse etc one brand is over another.

That's for sure.

The neighbors to the left of me are 'motorcycle people'.. husband and wife have matching harlies.... etc. Well.. i noticed a couple moved in downt he street, and say that they had a motor cycle. I mentioned this to my long time neighbors, who then rode down there. Later on they rode abck and quipped ' I thought you said that had a -motor cycle-.. implying that the other couple's 'brand' of motor cycle did not qualify.. etc..
