Reminds me of a joke my old foreman tried to tell us one day. You have "Polish jokes" in the USA, we have "Ukrainian jokes" here in Saskatchewan and Eddie was Ukrainian...and the epiphany of a "Ukrainian joke" if there ever was one. You would NOT believe me if I told you about him, nobody does...until they spend some time around him. (Yes, that bad.
) He's the one that chewed our crew out one day in front of a dozen other guys for not paying attention. He had actually changed his orders but had forgotten that he had! After his little tirade he spun on his heels, strode across the parking lot, opened the truck door, jumped in and slammed the door shut all ready to drive away. Only problem was it was a crew cab and he had jumped into the backseat! He said he had a cuckoo clock but all it would do is go "Tick! Tick! Tick!"...but no "Tock" and it really bugged him. He took it to all sorts of clock makers but none of them could help, try as they may, until he happened to find an old German clockmaker who took one look at it, smiled, and said "Ahhh! Vee have vays to make it TICK! We all bust a gut of course because he flummoxed this simple joke so badly but he thought he had told us a really funny joke and was giggling like a schoolgirl because of our reaction. Little did he know we were laughing at him, not with him...(as always of course

No reason for it to end, I just bought another blackhawk serpa holster, can't remember if it was this thread or the other gun thread it was discussed.
I returned one for my G19 but got another for an older beretta 92, I had no concealed carry holster for it, so I figured I'd give it another try. $34.00
Comes with both belt loop and paddle.

It's not the exact one in that picture, since it's for the beretta it's longer.
Screws hold either the belt loop or the paddle, and can be canted forward or back. It seems fairly well made for the money. actually $39.99
Here is the actual picture, haven't tried the gun in it yet.

That's one of the Glock benefits, 6 different models of 9 and 40 fit the same holster, as long as it's open on the bottom. the longer models will stick out of the shorter models holster, but some holsters are designed like that anyway.

Have you worn it yet? I'm mostly curious how the paddle works for you.
I had a paddle type holster years ago for carrying a large frame .357 Magnum revolver (a Taurus 669). I loved the ease of pulling the holster off for places I couldn't carry (although I admit, I rarely carried the 669). The downside id the paddle holster (can't recall the brand) did not hold the gun tight against my body. Wasn't real good for concealment, but that Ruger was a big gun in stainless...and I reckon it went 40 oz. or more.

I had another one for my new Glock that I returned, but there was no problem with the gun sticking out or anything like that. It was a little loose in the holster and I didn't like that, even though it had the locking mechanism that engages the trigger gaurd. I liked another brand for the Glock.
Now with the Beretta it's not a good fit either, turns out I have an early model 92SB which still had the rounded front trigger guard, as opposed to the squared off front with a land and knurling for a finger.
Which I much rather prefer now, since I learned that new grip method, I want to be able to put my left forefinger there and pull back a little, making a very stable platform.
I may try to mod it to work with this model, but it's hard to get at the lock part, and these things are not able to be taken apart due to there manufacturing method. I can get it to lock by really forcing it, and it holds super tight, which I like, but it wont release easily enough to be safe/ effective.

Roy, initially I carried my 23 without the paddle as I felt it would be more secure as we had to pass weapon retention practice prior to shooting and I just really had not had good luck with paddles previously. The last few years, I used the holster with the paddle, but only have them for the Glock, I have a Blade Tek for my S&W 66 and Galco for my 649.

Amazing! Husband answers knock on door with pistol, is shot. Wife also has pistol, is shot. Attackers have weapons, one likely shot. This stuff goes down, in real life, in a relative instant. Makes you wonder if one should keep a shotgun over every doorway, just in case Likely lots to the story, but bad stuff does happen.

Sounds like the homeowners bought the guns...but weren't really ready to use them.
