I use Power Service in the white bottle at the rate of 1 oz/5 gallons in #1 diesel. I burn #1 diesel in my furnace and use the same fuel in the tractor. The fuel gets treated going into the tractor, NOT in the furnace oil tank.

Fuel in home heating systems is subject to gel same as in a vehicle. I'd say if your home heating fuel works without additive your tractor probably would too. But I wouldn't chance it.

45 years ago I rented a house heated with fuel oil. It gelled. Not pretty.......

Those guys are morons. First off, daedong is in south korea, and they don't get real winters there. Jinju, seoul, and dague get winter, but they are "south of the mason dixon line" winters. Second, you can't get diesel fuel in my area that doesn't have some type of additive in it from the supplier. They have to keep their diesel from gelling up in the winter too, otherwise you can't sell it because you can't pump it. Thirdly, ULSD is a U.S. thing and other countries don't sell this junk. I use powerservice in all my tanks, both inside tanks and outside tanks. I used it in my last kioti for 10 years, and I will use it in this one for as long as I have it. I am not saying that PS is the bomb, or a magical solution, there are other products to buy that are just as effective if not more effective, but I have a ton of it that I bought on clearance.

Don't have the "white bottles" in front of me, but I just bought a new bottle a couple weeks ago. Did they change things?

Their "small" bottle size seems different than the bottle it's replacing?

I don't have exact numbers in front of me, but it seems their recommended dosage, as printed on the bottle, requires twice the amount (or treats 1/2 the amount of fuel) as the old bottle?

(Not sure, but maybe old was 8oz for 50 gal, and new is 8 oz for 25 gal?)

Has anyone noticed?

I buy the 80 oz jugs which treat 250 gallons.

This product is to be added to the fuel. DO NOT ADD TO THE DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID TANK.

If your vehicle will not start or gain power in cold temperatures, use Power Service Diesel 911 (in the red bottle) as directed on the container. After the engine is running, add Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost.

16-OUNCE (PART NO. 1016)
At temperatures above 0°F., add entire contents (16 ounces) to 40 gallons of diesel fuel. When temperatures drop below 0°F. or when using biodiesel blends, add entire contents (16 ounces) to 20 gallons of diesel fuel.

32-OUNCE (PART NO. 1025)
At temperatures above 0°F., add entire contents (32 ounces) to 100 gallons of diesel fuel. When temperatures drop below 0°F. or when using biodiesel blends, add entire contents (32 ounces) to 50 gallons of diesel fuel.

80-OUNCE (PART NO. 1080)
At temperatures above 0°F., add entire contents (80 ounces) to 250 gallons of diesel fuel. When temperatures drop below 0°F. or when using biodiesel blends, add entire contents (80 ounces) to 125 gallons of diesel fuel.

as you can see, based on their list there is a difference: 2.5 gallons per ounce on the 16 ounce containers, 3.125 at 32 ounces, and 3.125 at 80 ounces. Why the difference at 16? I don't know, probably to idiot proof harry the home owners 5 gallon jugs. It basically doubles at 0 degrees, 1.25 , 1.56, and 1.56

Full winter blend is late getting here in southern Maine because of supply problem. Fuel we have now is good for -11 to -20. Full winter blend (-40) might be here next week and until then my supplier is doing a blend of 2 to 1 diesel and kerosene for both on road and off road. With winter blend I generally don't put any additive in my Powerstroke and I won't in my tractor.
