I know when cutting something above the ground I watch it very closely and sometimes have to move quickly, you don’t have much room on a trailer but I guess it works for you..

As you can see, I cut with one hand with my 200T, that in itself in dangerous but I know what I’m doing..

I bought a North Star 3-point splitter at Northern Tool about 10 years ago and still very pleased with it. I don’t use it often so, didn’t want another gas engine to maintain.

Our only use for firewood is for two outdoor fire pits. Our fireplaces, in the Ranch House, are all indirect gas (propane).

This is on our previous LSXR4046HC. Ram speed is very satisfactory. Haven’t used it with our new LS XR4155HC yet.

FWIW, I marked the splitter hydraulic hoses so I connect it same every time. When I push splitter control valve handle, to the rear, the ram extends.
