OK, this just jumped out at me, it dosen't have the air filter log that I've seen on all domestic models

This is really getting sinister. That looks like factory green paint in the 3ph area, (gray market), however, the yellow and black sticker on the seat looks like the yellow and black stickers on Whisky's 187.

I agree with the air filter bit. This one appears to be in front of the radiator just like a grey.

Check the corner of the rubber floor mat. Typical of newer series.

The seat has mounts for a liscence plate. Does it appear to have a linkage for the cable going to the tiller?!

I have a few more pictures and I hope that they help make a difinative answer. One picture show some interesting hardware under the chassis.

thanks Mark. Still will irterate what is wrote before, i dunno, more pix make it see dubious. But, i must say, the tubular roll-over bar, that doesn't cut it... I think, only way i'd consider that tractor is to try it, and try it hard.....

.....and finally a better view of the controls by the operators platform. I would like to thank everyone for their opinions and input as I was best guessing and not comfortable giving that kind of advice to my friend.

Regards, Mark

Mark:

I guess we can rule out a domestic model. In the first pic you posted tonight.....is that a loader mount I see there?

Never mind....I realy should put my glasses on when looking at pic's

Whiskey,

It may well be the horizontal platform for a loader....without the vertical towers. It looks too beefy for a MMM but I could be wrong. Interesting big hardware under there.

Mark,

Are you putting us on a wild chase??!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif The seat in this picture looks tan. Please post the gear shifter. You almost got it in the last pic.

No, not putting anybody on. The first picture of the driver area I posted had the tan seat cover....the rear of the seat is black with the yellow warning label. The pictures are sent to me via email, so this is not real time....I ask for a picture, he goes down there and take one, I ask for another he goes down a takes another...Sometimes a couple of days go by before He reads my emal and vice versa.

The last thing I would want anyone to think is that I am wasting their time. It started out (this post) quite innocently and I thought, since I am not sure what model this is...someone will recognize here within a few posts. Just like the shift knob...that was a surprise too, (shuttle shift??).

I value your and others opinions and was hoping that by now there would be a "dead giveaway" in one of the pictures.

I will email and ask for a picture of the shifter.

Regards, Mark

Oh you know I was just kidding. I would have thought someone would have seen a similiar tractor sometime or another. More pics will help!!

   / Yanmar 17 ??? #77
That Japanese text makes me think that this tractor is definately a grey market. Now to figure out which model. The grill does not match a 1702/1720. It could be that it isn't the original hood.

   / Yanmar 17 ??? #79
My guess...YM1720D. I had a YM1702D which looked very much like this one, but the picture of the shifter decal shows it to be a powershift. The 1702 has the shifter down between your legs on the tunnel.

Your probably right. In the last picture he posted you can see the end of the shifter handle.
