No idea, they made those engines from the 40's till 95.
Looking at the control panel and switches I would guess 60's or newer.
Serious Iron there Lou, thanks for posting that up.

Some of us have zero option for ethanol free unless we buy quarts or gallons...
Do you know what the AvGas situation is in Cali ?

I'm not a flyer, but even in that world, I've come across references to phasing out LL... but I really don't know where that's at right now.

This is the one thread that I had set up under TBN 1.0 for instant email notification.

Under the new 2.0 TBN, I can't seemingly do that at the moment. I did ask at least some of these questions in the What's New thread, but either the question got lost, or I missed the response(s) (busy week).

In my present Watched Threads list, this gen mtce Thread shows an Email Box beside it, when others don't, so it seems I selected that option in 2.0. But, I'm not getting e/m notice for this thread, and when I put a Check Mark in the Email box, it doesn't "stick" when I move off the page, then back.

My Manage Watched Threads drop-down shows:

Disable Email notification
Stop Watching Threads

^ as the only options available to me.

Just today, I did get a bulk-pushed Thread Highlights (nothing to do with my attempted selection) email from TBN (the only one I've got since 2.0 launched), so I know that my email address is correct/active in 2.0 .

Running Ubuntu/Firefox/NoScript , all up to date. TBN is set as a Trusted Site in NoScript.

Does anybody have Instant Email notification working on any thread in 2.0 ?

Rgds, D.

Edit - just poked through my Account settings. In the Content (Creation?) section, ALL the relevant email settings are flipped ON. There's actually way more Turned On there than I would have wanted under 1.0 (Email is selected ON for basically any thread I participate in), but as my problem is Lack of desired email, I'll leave all that flipped ON for now.....

Hmmm....... D.

Last I checked a tail number was needed to purchase and just getting to the fuel depot at Oakland was a process...

I get the sense that those posting about LL either have an aviation connection, or access a less-stringent small regional airport.

Regs are there for a few reasons....... I remember a # of years back, the main Toronto airport was under renovation. After checking in, I took a on-runway shuttle to a tiny passenger building at the very end of a main-runway, to wait to board another shuttle.

Scheduling was a mess, so things were dragging out....... then suddenly, I hear this airline staffer literally screaming at a passenger. The passenger had decided to step out an unsecured glass door, onto the apron, to light up a cigarette.

Thing was...... that tiny building was right next to one of the above ground fuel-tank farms.....

Go Lemmings, Go !

Not liking the new layout to find stuff.
Anyway, with spring coming, and not needed any gas generator action. Sucked out all treated gas, and put into the truck. Went by and picked up some fresh 100% gasoline and treated it. Filled each gas generator and ran them with a load, shut down, and topped off. Time to drain and replace the diesel generators now.

Yes I need to get that done one of these weekends soon as well. I have 10 gallons plus whatever is in the tank left over from the New Years power outage. It will go in the car which should burn it off in a week or so.

Wind picked up from out of Canada. Power just went out. That’s like the 4th time in 2 months. At this rate I don’t ever need yo exercise my generator

Finally my new oil sucker came in and the Westinghouse 9500 gets its first oil change today.
With all of three hours on it but I'm doing the snowblower too today so it's oil change day and out come the oil diapers.
Not much to spill using this device.
Nice that both motors take 10/30 synthetic

I've had several of these suckers including the original one in the round steel can. They all worked pretty well, but
this is the first one I've had with the ability to hook up compressor air to the unit and let the compressor power the
sucking so I don't have to pump manually. Good for arthritic hands and bad shoulders. We shall see...
Seems very heavily made and nice quality. Amazon. Chinese. 73 bucks.
Could easily have a Napa sticker on it.

In the past about every fourth oil change I get the engine hot and then drain it using the plug, which gets oil all over the place due to poor
placement say right over axle. But I figure it gets the gunk out of the bottom better. Maybe that's silly with new machinery and synthetic oil, but
always wonder what I'm missing when I use the suction hose, even with tilting the motor and wiggling the suction tube.
Plug on gen is in good spot, better than snowblower, but will use this for now.
