"Check out the SD Dually hauling the antigue truck, he's squatted as bad or worse than I am."
The driveway has a dip in it, the truck's overload springs are barely touching, just looks like it's squatting. I'm a long way from overloading the F-450. Any time you put a load on a truck with springs it's going to squat, it has to, unless you have air bags that'll bring it back up to level.

Yep, I totally agree. I just used you as a reference. My truck is squatting too but that doesn't mean it's overloaded. No worries on this end. :)

I'm sure your GN weighs more than 4500lbs. My single wheel 20+5 GN weighed that. And your 250 is only rated for about 15k GN. I had the same truck and weighed everything since the DOT up here can be brutal. It seems like certain area's of the country are more strictly enforcing this stuff. I'd take DP advice with regards to load placement, the rhino up front and the tractor and other buggy towards the rear.

Matt

Now you guys got my curiosity up. I'll try to weigh my trailer soon. It's 28' deck with 4' dovetail, no ramps, dual wheeled 10K Dexter axles, wood deck.

I had to load in that order to get it all on. If I moved the tractor back on the trailer I would have the loader length to deal with. Unless I crawled the front wheels of the buggy up on the neck..... :D

Maybe I oughtta load that way and post a picture on here. You guys would perk up and have all kinds of comments about that!!! :p

Here is a couple of shots from two weeks ago.... I borrowed this 20 foot trailer, the trailer I own is much smaller and could not haul the machine. The second shot has my tractor on the same trailer...

Did you look up the max GN weigh your truck is rated for? I had a similar setup superduty, I believe the max for any configuration was 15k. I'm sure you at or over that with your setup. I know there are a few "Expert" here but it's not worth leaving to chance. For you safety ond others. And I agree with the other poster, Airbags would level you out.

My truck's GCWR is 20k. So,,,, if I estimate my trailer weight at 6k, Jeep buggy #1 at 3300, Jeep buggy #2 at 4200 and my truck at 6500 I'm maxxed out at 20k. that's the load I'd normally be hauling a long distance.

Hauling the tractor, buggy, UTV as pictured, estimating the trailer at 6k, tractor at 5500, buggy at 3300, UTV at 1200, truck at 6500 I'm at 22.5k. OVERLOADED!!!

Loaded and ready for work tomorrow.

Figured I'd throw a photo in for the fun of it, plus it was a nice day and had the camera in my hand, and thought I should have a shiny truck, tractor and trailer pic for future enjoyment.

Might get it framed...yeah, why not? :D

Any thoughts or comments here? Massey 1635 tlb on a 12,000# trailer. Figure weight of tractor and trailer in the 9500# range. Dad's truck is a 2007 2500 hd with the 6.0 gas engine, rated for 9900#. It towed pretty good, but there was no doubt that it was back there. Quite a bit different than towing 2 snowmobiles which is the max I had towed previously.
