Skilled vs production. There are skilled welders doing pipelines. There are production welders with squirt guns than can be replaced with robots.

It's not a matter of respect. It takes 4 years to make a union electican. It takes less than 6 weeks to teach many production jobs. my current job, I spend a lot of time taking the skill out of production jobs with automation.

The companies are using temps as a way to skirt having to support their workers. Similar to Amazon's abuse of contractors. The reason these jobs dont have the bargaining power is because they are NOT Skilled.

The temp hiring practices are pretty messed up. The fix is for people to quit taking those jobs and eventually the job market would fix itself but production workers typically cant afford to turn down a lot of jobs. I've heard of local electrical shops being so short handed they are hiring...

When I need mahindra parts for my 485. I order international when possible. It's a licensed copy and even some of the modern tractors have extremely similar castings.

Beware of compressor duty motors. Listed as 5hp peak 3hp continuous. I have an IR dual stage with a 7hp motor. It pumps air faster than I can drain the tank with any tool. Curtis makes good stuff ad well
