The wind probably isn't that bad here. It just seems bad at times when I'm trying to close and secure the lightweight sliding barn doors I have. It's a hassle to keep lugging the 4x6x16 into place every time I secure the doors for overnight.

I only got around to one of them so far. These flasher assemblies are a pita. Right now I've been working on getting heat in my shop. As soon as I have it I'll get back to the flashers and see if it needs the resister.....and what resistor will work.

The first night I took the tractor out I quickly realized the headlights are useless with a loader attached. That was a newb mistake on my part :) I only use the worklights at night. I also did not get interference on my radio when right next to the tractor.

I just ordered enough split wood to last me a good three years in my shop so I'll have time to do splitting a bit at a time throughout the year to start adding to the stacks. I may regret the cycle time down the road but I'll work with it.

What I have on my property shouldn't be too bad to split. I am closing in a few bays of the lean to of my barn for wood storage and will only be splitting adjacent to that area so a very short cord for me. I can see this wouldn't be the splitter for you.

I'll find out. The largest I'll be splitting from my property will be about 15-16" and not usually too tough. If it's too much for the 4-way I'll go back to the standard wedge.

Right. I was quoted $36k for a cab tractor with frond snow plow last year. This year for the exact same setup it was just shy of $46k! I was actively seeking a tractor all year and noticed the prices on all the tractors have gone up quite a bit.

Another supporter of Sta-bil. I have used it for years with zero issues. Just make sure you run the machine for a few minutes to ensure the Sta-bil makes it to all parts of your fuel system. And make sure the fuel tank is topped up.

The right brake pedal had 1/2" too much play and the left had 7/8" too much play. All good now.

Not at all. There is no paint. They are solid extruded material far more robust than any "slot wall" I've ever seen. If I slid attachments into one of the slots (and if the ceiling was higher) I could easily support my weight without anything breaking. Nothing wrong with using cheap slot panels...

Sounds like you made the right choice. I may even end up going that route if I find I need more traction. I'm just not in a hurry to do it. I don't have any vehicle trails going to and from any of my barns. If that changes, I might as well make the switch then.

I just changed the oil and filter, cleaned the water separator bowl and the fuel filter. At least it's only at 435 hrs but It looks like the original owner may have skipped the 50hr and 300 hr oil recommended oil and filter change. Correct me if I'm mistaken but only the original filters are...

I googled and tried searching for references/part numbers for replacement wiper blades for the cab of my M7040 that aren't the expensive Kubota branded ones, but couldn't find anything. I'm sure there are better wiper blades out there and I'd like to replace them before I have to start snow blowing.

I just paid 40k to a private seller for a 2012 7040HDC with cab. Only 430 hrs on it and it's like new. In the current state of things I'm happy to get it but yeah, the prices are through the roof. I priced a new Kubota last year from the dealer for 36k and wnet back just before I got the 7040...
