JD2320 VS. Kubota B2620

I'll weigh in here, I bought a JD 3720 last year, why? becuase in all the used equipment searches I did, there were 5 kubotas for every 1 john deere forsale. so I said to my self, does Kubota outsell john deere 5 to 1, no, it's that when people buy a JD they hold it longer and value it more, thus, it will hold it's value longer.

Well I'm probably going to be going Green. Went to the Kubota dealer Sat. I was told they had a B2620 in stock. They did not. I wanted to take a test drive....Salesman said we do not have one to do that on, even a model close to it. Price quote for the B2620, FEL with toothbar, MMM, and tiller was $22k out the door including tax(6%). The salesman tried to talk me out of the tiller because without it the price was closer to the Deere. He said they have a implement "loan" program. You can rent any implement for only $20 dollars a day. He said "that way I could save money on the tiller" I told him I want the tiller. He then started to tell me how I do not need the tiller...and how much better his service and dealer name was. I thanked him and left with a calender and a poor attitude towards Kubota. So I'm going to go back to the Deere dealer and see if I can work him down a little or at least get something more for the same price. I do not think the 3 range Hydro is that big of a deal and the drive over deck on the Deere was a huge plus. I'll let you know what I decide to do. I think JD will hold its value better and hopefully perform like it should. I'm a little rough on equipment and hopefully the Deere will take it. THANKS

I really like my Kubota B2620, but if I had had an experience like that, I would have probably gone with a Deere. I don't understand the pricing on these tractors. In my location, the Deere was about 10% higher in price than the Kubota. From various posts I've read on TBN, its the reverse in many other locations. To get a true comparison, you'll have to find another Kubota dealer. However, if you're happy with the Deere, just get it and don't second guess yourself.

PS. The Kubota has a drive over deck too.

I paid $21300 for a B2920 w/ fel, 60"mmm, and a back hoe. The Kubota dealer in our area is much easier to deal with then either one of the two JD dealers. I have not had any problems with the B2920. It has exceeded my expectations. I like the extra HP and the three speed ranges of the B2920. The back hoe is awesome.
Also, sooner or later we are all going to have to get over the buy American thing. Our government and corporate greed has made sure nothing is really made in America any more. And if it is , it won't be for long. Good luck and I am sure either choice would be a good one.

CJBOTA, if you got yours for that price including a hoe...then mine should have come in way underneath that. I got a quote from an internet Kubota dealer in Ohio. He said he could have a B2620 with MMM, Tiller, Box blade and Loader delivered to my door(probably not including tax was $18600. There is another Kubota dealer nearby so I may give him a look then if not go back to the Deere. I'll let ya know.

No... Kubota does literally outsell Deere by that huge of a margin.

There is no "if", I have the paperwork in front of me. I bought it late last fall and I didn't have any tax since it was for my business.

Now I am in the market for a Utility vehicle, I have been to the closest JD dealer twice and they aren't the least bit interested in selling me a gator. I think the gator would be a good choice but I will probably end up with something else because of the two JD dealers that are within 8 miles of my house and another one that is 20 miles away. They only want to sell to people who want green no matter what.

They quoted me an 850 gator for $13000. I was so shocked I could only say OK I'll let you know. They said they would have to bring one in from another store if I was seriously interested. Again, OK!

The I stopped at a Cub dealer down the road. They quoted me $9800 for a 31 HP, 47.7 ft/lbs Torque, liquid cooled Cub Volunteer that had a cargo bed that was 3.2 cubic feet bigger then the Gator. They encouraged me to take a test drive which was awesome and said , by the way we are offering 36 months at Zero interest. Also, the Cub has 2 years warranty vs 1 year for
the Gator.

I like the Gator but I will be danged if I will put up with an arrogant dealer treating me like crap. I still plan on looking at what Kubota offers and will probabaly look at the Kawasaki Mules, but right now this Cub looks pretty good to me.

I double checked my paperwork and found the price of $21295 also included the backhoe thumb option which was nearly $400. After a substantial downpayment I got 42 month financing at less then 1% interest. ( .58 to be exact) At the time I felt I got a very fair deal. My biggest headache was trying to figure out which model to buy.
