Good clarification Dmace! Thanks. You know, I'm sure Tailrotor knows the difference between a utility tractor and an industrial type TLB so I'm not even sure why he responded with such a post.

Tailrotor, A DK40SE is about $21,000. You think I can pick up a new L45 for that price? Probably closer to double that price.

I had a Kubota (L3400) and they are good pieces of equipment but you have to buy a Grand series to compare to the Kioti and you certainly can not buy a comparable Grand series for the same money and the Kubota is still going to have an inferior loader when compared to the KL401. Check out L5740 specs and compare the loader specs to the loader on a 41 horse Kioti.

Just the info I saw;):D

You can't win man. This is the way every thread that involves Kioti ends up. The pack is going to beat it into you that their tractors are the best... period.

I'm sure I'll get hammered for this post so I will take my toys, go home, and avoid this thread now.

Nobody is saying they are the best, simply that they are very comparable to the "Big 3" and you just can't say that if you don't buy a JD or Kubota then you are getting junk. There are very comparable tractors out there and more options for the end user then just the "Big 3".

I don't necessarily agree they are the best. There are alot of good tractors; Kubota, Deere, Mahindra, Agco products, as well Kioti. I'd be proud to own any of them. There's no question though that I believe Kioti is the best value for your money you can find for a quality tractor! I do certainly like the strong loaders on the Kioti's though!!

Ok guys, after reading the Kioti site. I see the specs are a little more 227lbs hardly call that inferior. But you also must read the fine print on the Kioti site at the bottom. The specs that they give are max specs. And this loader fits on the DK-SE50 and a few others. Which would be the max specs for that load attached to that Machine, the DK- SE50, Not the DK40. And I can bet you the DK - SE 40 has a different spec sheet. Read the fine PRINT!!

I have a b 7100 hat and it runs great but I really want a loader. As most posters know here it's hard to find a used loader ( reasonably priced). So I a
looking and hopeing I can get a tractor with a loader. I'm mad I didn't spring for a bobcat ct 230 last summer and hopeing kioti or bobcat come out with a similar deal because I believe they are by far by a long long way the best value. And I really like my b 7100, but I know it's night and day to even kioti's small tractor the ck20s.

Tailrotor, the DK40 and the DK50 are pretty much the exact same tractor except for engine. They are the same frame, same size, a couple of hundred pounds difference in weight and they have identical hydraulic flow. The specs you have read are for the FEL and are the same for both tractors.

I'm not saying the LA854 is not a good loader; it is but, why should you have to get a 52 or 57 horse Kubota to come close to matching what you can get with a 41 horse Kioti?

As I've said before, I've owned a kubota and they are excellent machines. To me, It's really a question of value and the better value (to me) is clearly with the Kioti.

Would I be happy to have an L4240 / L4740 / L5240 or an L5740? Certainly I would!!! I just wouldn't be very happy to pay the premium price just for the sake of having the Kubota name? If you have one, I'm happy for you. They are good machines. I'm buying a new one pretty soon and for me, it will be the Kioti this time. My L3400 didn't even match up to the DK35SE.

No matter what ,the Kubota will always be more money. I understand you point about value and money. But if you completely disassembled the two tractors part by part / piece by piece you would see the difference in the two Brands. You will see more time and money has been put into the kubota along with types of metal and gears. And I do Own one I have a L45 TLB / BX2230. And at one time also B26 All have been outstanding machines with no problems.

But thats what make this site great you can choose what you like and still agree they are both good tractors for the Money.

I saw a picture of your L45. Sweet Machine!! Tailrotor, you may be right about the difference in the two brands but I have my doubts. There are just too many Kioti owners out there that absolutely love their machines. When I test drove one recently, I was very impressed!!

I asked someone on this forum a while back, "As well respected of a name as Bobcat is, do you think they would put their name on a Kioti tractor without doing extensive research and being satisfied it is a quality tractor?" I don't think they would risk their reputation like that. I see Bobcat (Kioti) tractors showing at the rental yards where John Deere's used to be. They are going to take some abuse.

I'm completely satisfied it is a quality machine! Not unlike your L45:)
