:confused2: For the cost of a tank of gas you can restore a bunch of tanks of gas. ... b.b.but, how much do you have? What may be great if you have a lot of neglected cars, is not such a bargain in the case of sporadic need. There is an always fresh product on the market to serve the rare and incidental need [you have to use more, but its much cheaper and you end up with more gas]. For most of us this is a great opportunity to help others get rich.

I hadn't really looked into the price aspect, but I can sure see where you would be right. I fear that a lot of people are out there trying to make sure that I make other people rich. I probably shouldn't try helping them.
I'll look at it much more closely before purchasing anything. Mixing it with "fresh Gas" would seem to be the most cost effective way to deal with it.

In your case, mixing might be your best option as the vehicle ran good with the fuel replaced. For me with the tiller, I was having carb issues and added the Start to new fuel and my issues went away. Slightly different situation.

I have an air compressor which I will be looking at next. The fuel in it is only around 3 years old. Last time I tried to run it the plug with were creating an electrical storm over the engine and it ran, but poorly. It has a 20 gallon fuel tank which is about 1/2 full. Not sure yet what my plans are. I have a few other things to finish first.

Where do you guys come up with this "stuff" about premium unleaded gasoline being : slower burning, more carbon deposits and less flammable?

Take the old gas to the local auto parts store or oil change place. They seem to all take old oil with no problem. I just took at least twenty gallons to a quick lube place yesterday. Some of it was gas, some used oil and some contaminated diesel fuel. They even helped me unload and pour it out. Then they tossed the containers for me. All for no charge.

Wow, I didn't realize that they would do that for you. Nice to know for future reference.

It wouldn't hurt to put in some carb & fuel inj cleaner to help clean the system. Plus it might help the old stuff to burn better.

When I have bad gas I excuse myself from the room for a moment. Aye carumba burritos!

For your fuel, if you can, take it to the local hazmat disposal. It's the best thing to do from a socially responsible point of view.

Now if it was me, cuz I am a redneck, I'd burn it, along with a good ole pile o' brush. If it don't go up easy, let the pile start and then have your pal pour it on, oh yeah!

No places I've ever been to in CA and CO will let you put fuel (gasoline) into their waste oil tanks.
