I did the original post with pictures. Several other long time and newer contributing members to this forum added additional information that has been appreciated by many newer readers.

The reason I bump it is for newer viewers that haven't seen it, won't (or don't know how) do a search and/or are about to pay to have a job done that they can do themselves that's easy and alot cheaper than paying a dealer to do. Especially those to busy dealers doing warranty work on tractors bought from another dealer.
The search function is a great tool but I've learned more by reading the postings and seeing things I never thought about searching for. I've also seen info come across that didn't apply to me at the time but I later had a need and semi remembered it. I know some on this forum seem to get upset that people won't use the search but I say "chill out". Each use it the way that best suits them. Again, if someone has a question I'm sure others have the same question and can see a helpful answer to their situation. Lots of learning on this forum and some times reading the same info over and over makes it stick. Good thing is no one has to read a thread that they don't have an interest in. Just pass them by if it doesn't look like something your interested in.
After trying to figure out out to get that dip stick out, i found out it was very low! So i filled it up and also going to change it and put the synthetic in- Bx2660. Wish i saw this post 50 hrs ago! Would have thought that Messics would have checked that when they did the 50 hr service!

I think when people see how easy it is to do the service on a BX that they will see that it is as easy or easier to do it on the bigger tractors or in my opinion it is easier on the bigger tractors since they are higher off the ground. The getting down and up is the hardest part of doing the service for me. The draining fluids, removing and reinstalling filters and fluids is simple on all of them.

I've learned far more about tractors by reading current postings than I've ever learned by searching for a specific problem I have. I often read a thread that I don't think has any thing to do with me or my tractors and then see an idea that I had never considered so I would have never done a search on it.
I appreciate new owners asking questions which help other new owners to find answers and also more mature owners to update their "data" base.
Some times I see where someone will tell the poster with a question that they should have done a search. I don't care much for that response myself, just one mans opinion. Now to give an answer and mention a further search can be done to maybe find out more info, to me, is a good response. Again, just my feelings/opinion about it.
To me this is the best tractor forum on the internet. I frequented another tractor forum for a few years before coming over here. I rarely go back to the other one. I think there are a lot of good apples on TBN.:thumbsup:
