Is your valve leaking between the stack parts?

Have you torqued the connecting bolts to specs?

Nope, no leakage at all between the work sections. Yep, bolts were torqued to spec - 12#/in - from what I remember.

number9L,

Are you sure those figures are right.

I came up with this on the tie rod bolts.

Prince SV valve = 12 ft lbs or 150 in lbs

Prince Series 20 valve= 30-32 ft lbs or 360 in lbs

Where is the valve leaking from? Show pic if possible.

A Prince hyd engineer gave me an acceptable valve leak figure of up to 10 cc per min. That is 2.02 oz per hour, and 24.33 oz in 12 hours, and 48 oz in 24 hours.

In relation to the leak down, could you put a shut off valve on the base end of the cyl, and raise up the attachment, and shut off the valve.

If the attachment descends, it is not the remote valve. It would have to be the seals in the cyl bypassing.

If you had an inline gage in the rod end hose, you could see the pressure caused by the weight of the attachment.

Any updates or ever get any better performance out of that valve?

Still planning on mostly copying your install. Brian has dug up a joystick version of the 3 spool Bucher valves he sells & believes in.

Just need to wait for parts & then figure out exactly how I'm going to fabricate up a bracket or 2 & measure up some hose lengths.

with a toggle switch you can lock the function. say you need to get off the tractor to do something and you have a momentary switch. ooops....just a thought..

I have a Kubota L3800 with FEL. I am wanting to add a Top-n-Tilt setup but want to take my time and plan this out and try and get it "right" (not have regrets) the first time.

There isn't a lot of room on the L3800 to mount the valves in a clean way and I'd really like to use a loader type valve / joystick with Float for running the TnT. I'd like to have the Float on the top link to allow Rotary Cutter, Finish Mower and Box Blade follow the ground. I want to add a Power Beyond valve/remote as well while I am at it, but am fine with a single lever for that function or using a diverter valve may be even better. I want as clean an install as I can work out.

These two valves look like they might fit well down in between the seat and RH fender and work well for what I have in mind. I know I'll have to do some fab work to get them mounted and creative hose routing, but that's fine as I am not in a bug hurry to throw them on in the next week. I want to take my time and do it well and I suspect hose routing will be the most challenging part of this process.

Surplus Center - 2 SPOOL COMPACT 10 GPM JOYSTICK CONTROL VALVE

Surplus Center - 2 SPOOL 14 GPM PRINCE LVR JOYSTICK LOADER VALVE
This one has a 14GPM rate, would that work ok with my tractor's 6.3GPM pump?

I am wondering if I should go ahead while I am doing all this and add a 3rd function to the FEL as I can see that I may want a grapple down the road. I'd want to do a diverter valve for this one so I can just use the FEL joystick.

I've read threads about others using diverter valves where the button to switch the valve is momentary. Is there valves that allow the use of a toggle switch? That seems like it would be more intuitive, just flip the switch and work the stick as needed, then flip it back as opposed to holding the momentary button in the whole time. Maybe not, I really don't know.

I'm just trying to think ahead at all the possibilities so I don't wish I'd done something different once I get it installed and using it.

I used a selector valve from surplus Center to add grapples to my L4330 front bucket. You can select grapple or bucket by switching the 12v toggle switch. Call Surplus Center and ask for technical help and they should tell you what you need. Cost for switch and solenoid valve was less than $150.00 when I bought it about 3 years ago. bluehighway

Number9L, I'm sorry to hi-jack your thread but I was wondering if you or anyone else for that matter could tell me what can of bulkhead fittings you used on your rear remote install? That's a pretty clean set up and was hoping to do something similar but haven't been able to track down the bulkheads I need. I'm wanting to use 1/2" ag couplers with NPT threads. Thanks

Look up part #1207863 over here and it is your fitting with NPT for your QD and JIC for your hose end.
