I like the rollback idea as they usually have an electric winch. But they are not cheap. You ought to be able to get a further discount due to this.

In my area you could get it done for $50. You could barely rent a trailer for that.

In my area equipment rental places are the only ones that have trailers that will carry a CUT. A 10k, 16' trailer is $100 per day and that is only if the equipment for its use is not rented. And they will not take reservations. First come first served- if available.

And a roll back for my 7500# tractor with grapple bucket and 710# ROBB is $165 for a 35 mile trip. I need to use one at the end of December to get my tractor from my current home to my property where I will be clearing a home site.

Tell the guy that owns it to figure out a way to get it into your truck and you will take it.

When my L4240 was delivered it cost $125 and that was about 50 miles.

My delivery was ~ $250 for 120 miles, one way this summer.

My thoughts exactly. I would have to want something very badly to travel this distance and not be able to load it into my vehicle or trailer. The seller should have figured this point out in advance.

If he had that figured out he'd probably want more than 500 for it.

Exactly, that is why it is only $500. :duh: Bring your own way to move it sort of thing. Cuts down on who can get it, but the owner does not have to consider what the loading expense and or inconvenience is to him. Because it is not, that is the purchasers problem, but is getting a good deal on the implement.

If the owner went to the trouble of being able to load, then he would have to sell it for more $$$ than what he is asking. Just one of those things, either you want it or you don't, it costs money either way. Either you pay him or pay someone else or have already paid for the equipment that you have to be able to do these things. But in the end, it ALL costs someone, somewhere some money. ;)

He was asking 700.00. And I don't have to have it either.
