I put the chairs under the rebar just ahead of the pour.
We poured today..12 yards.
There is a thunder storm brewing now..sure hope it has dried enough to survive it with no damage.
We have it tied down because of the wind.

As long as it achieved initial set, the rain will actually do the concrete some good. Keep it wet for a week or so by spraying with water and covering with plastic will help it cure well also.

We have the floor poured.

I will let it cure for a few days, then move the building onto the floor and anchor it down.

Side walk will have a small curve and tie into the apron in front of the door. (next pour)

Looks great. What did you do with the buried container?

Left it in place. We collapsed and cave in the top and filled it with the broken concrete. After we set the building we will push all the rest of the concrete in and I will fill the hole up with top soil. After it rains on it, it will settle and I will keep adding dirt as needed until it quits settling.

Where is-was the entrance to the storm shelter?

Where is-was the entrance to the storm shelter?

It had an under ground hall way that connected the shelter to to an entry from within an old 2 story house that burned down about 25 years ago. Then the mobile home was installed at the end of the under ground hall way, but never was connected to the entry.
That hall way was also collapsed and will be filled in the same as the rest of the holes.

It also had a concrete slab covering it. It had also sunk in over the hall way.

Nice save. Most folks don't realize that a shipping container has zero support except on the corners.....many have collapsed under just 2' of soil.

That is so true. About 1/2 of one side had collapsed inward due to the dirt side caving in on it..
