Mike, just out of curiousity i see you have some Kubotas in your profile. Will those start under same conditions and also what made you change brands? Price? Probs with Kubotas? Or dealer? Best of luck

Max28 was the right size tractor at the right price. It spec'd well and basically is a decent tractor.
Your expectations have to be a little lower with a low priced tractor vs. a big consumer item like anF150, etc.

Contacted Mahindra by phone.

Was told they do not provide technical support and to contact Gary Equipment 315 699-8072 Error
I was nice, but whomever the receptionist tried to pass me thru to did not want to speak to a Mahindra owner.

The many Kubota's I am familiar with have starting problems when they have bad fuel, Clogged filters or weak/ dead batteries. Otherwise they start.
I do know 3 other Mahindra owners, 40 HP and above, and think they do not have starting issues.

True, only Dealers can call for tech support. You can call your dealer and get the DSR involved but they are currently conducting service schools and will be hard to reach. Did you check the glow plug power, key on no GP light? I still suspect you have a GP controller or sensor issue.:confused3:

Mahindra better not get into IT!

Did you check the glow plug power?
Not yet dark & cold when I get home, I'll probe this weekend.

Key on no GP light?
The GP light works, stays on for 10 seconds.

I still suspect you have a GP controller or sensor issue.
Could be. I really have better things I should be doing.

Tonight I turned on Ignition and Let GP do one cycle. Temp is in high teens.
Light went out, I left ignition on for five minutes on less while I made a quick check of the horse barn.
Then I tried to start tractor for a few second crank, no start.
I cycled the GP again and it coughed to life.
GP must be working somewhat as I did not crank it enough to heat up the combustion chamber?

Let go light cyle on and off. Then do it again. Or even three times if needed. Then turn it to start. The engine should not need more than a turn or two to start.

I've done the glow plug cycle 3, 4, 5 plus times on mine in the past. Then finally it will cough to life. But this is usually only when it sits outside in 10-20 degree weather.

Right now mine is in a 32-ish degree garage and I just went out and tried to start it and it was a no go.

I even did the cycle on-cycle off-cycle on dance for 5 times straight, still no go. My multi-meter is dead so if I can find a 9-volt I'll go back and see if I'm getting any voltage to the glow plugs.

I went back out and fiddled with it. I pulled the connector off the glow plug rail and then put it back on. Checked it with a multi-meter and I was getting 10.5 volts on the rail while the glow plug timer ran. Battery voltage was 12.5, not sure what it was with the glow plugs on, I didn't check.

Cycled the plugs three times and then it sputtered to life.

I just noticed this section in the document in the top link you posted, specifically step 1. I usually leave my speed lever at idle or slightly above when trying to cold start:

5.2.1 Engine with glow timer
1. Move the speed control lever to the HIGH
SPEED position.
2. Turn the starter switch key to the ON position
and make sure that the oil pressure, coolant
temperature, and glow plug indicators are lit.
See Table 2 Starting Aid Chart for heating
time.
3. When the glow plug indicator goes off, turn
the key to the START position.
4. Release the key when the engine starts. The
key will return to the ON position when
released.
5. Move the speed control lever to the idling
position.
