When I was shopping EA had a several month wait time and wanted 50% up front. I took that 50% and bought my MTL instead, they shipped it the next day. The deciding factor though was when I followed the link to their FB page. Anytime a company representative feels the need to bash another company the way that EA's lead guy did to LandPride is a company that I don't care to do business with. A letter of complaint which a customer had written also found it's way there... not very professional, IMHO. It was like being in a HS glee club...

When is are grapple arriving soon I hope........:D

A grapple actually arrived a week ago.
I took a look at it sitting way up in the nose of the then nearly empty trailer (I am at the end of their daily delivery route), and told the driver ...leave it there!
It was NOT the grapple that I ordered, so I refused delivery.

Called Mid-State Attachments, and they agreed that they must have shipped the wrong one.
That was on Monday, and tracking shows they shipped the correct one (I hope) that same day.
Now due to arrive this Monday, per tracking.

It is too cold for this old guy to want to grapple anything here now anyway.

Did you ordered the #1 E series grapple?

YES, EXACTLY!
Unfortunately it does not have any zerks, but I am hoping to remedy that, perhaps with oilite bushings, but most likely with zerks.
The heavy duty version of the same design, is just a heavier total weight than I want.

OK. . . So, it should be apparent that I don't mind spending a lot of money for a QUALITY product. Thats why I am spending $50K on my Kubota and implements. Coulda probly saved $10K by going with a second tier tractor and implements. And as I mentioned earlier, I really like the looks of the Artillian Grapple System, and I've read and seen a lot of good reviews. But I would be looking at about $3300. I have a lot of pasture work to do now, but SOON I will have a lot of work to do with a grapple. With the budget having taken a hit like it just did, I think an MTL grapple will fit the bill. With that said, I have been looking at their website. I do like what I see and read about MTL HD RK5. . . I am not understanding some of the references y'all are making about #1 E series and other references.

#1 E-series are a totally different design grapple,....... made by a different North Carolina company.
MID-STATE ATTACHMENTS.... in Denton, NC.

Same design grapple is also sold on E-Bay by "Skid Steer Attachment Depot".

Best price is by calling Mid-State directly, and asking for "Connie"
It is a family run, small manufacturing company, that has been around for many years.....much smaller than EA ... I think.
Like EA though, they sell direct to the public.

There have been some customer service complaints about MTL.
Apparently, arrogance can be a problem at MTL.

Any grapple that's made in the USA is going to be good ,It depends on what style you want / need . And your better of bending the grapple then the loader arms it cheaper to fix........

I had not considered that.
Good point!
A cheaper grapple is a relief valve for your loader ??

Sure any heavy steel grapple should hold up.
I didn't want a heavy grapple to take away from my lift capacity. 60'' grapple @ only 400# is a great fit for me

But what ever floats your boat. I've been very pleased with my EA Grapple

I think your tractor is similar in specs to my 5460. I got MTL 60 inch dual lid for $995. I also got the forks. At this time last I got $50 off the forks if I ordered with the grapple. Shipping was free to a freight terminal.
