"Wash your hands before and after using the toilet"

I have heard that SOME restaurant workers do the "after" part, SOMETIMES, also!

I'm no restaurant worker, nor have I ever worked as a researcher; yet I follow that practice anyways. My mother taught me at the same time that I was pottie training, and old habits die hard.

I see signs in convenience store restrooms stating "Employees must wash hands" and I always want to take a marker and add; "We hope that the rest of you do, also."

Of course!
My mother also taught me to put my "toys" away at night, and I still do.
and ......not to pick my nose in public, and I still don't.
I was just being a smart axx.

Yes, a HEPA (AKA n99) fitted respirator is a fine piece of equipment. Mine even has a foam filter on the exhale valve, so it doesn't spread droplets into the environment. The currently popular sandwich style n95 masks are pretty good too.

I once worked on the research side of a medical school. There were some interesting safety rules:

- Wash your hands before and after using the toilet.

- If there is a power outage and you see researchers running for the exit, you should run too.

YIKES!

Wonder if that was the case at the Wuhan Infectious Disease Lab in Wuhan, China?

That last rule about running sounds just like the oil field rules.

If you see me running. Don't ask why?? Just make sure you keep up!!!!

Unfortunately, not everybody does that.

The marine and the army guy were leaving the latrine during some "co=operative training".

The Army guy noticed the Marine walking right out past the handwashing station. The Army guy spoke out. "The ARMY instructs us to wash our hands after using the latrine".

The Marine responded " The Marines instruct us not to piss on our hands" .

That's an oft-heard joke, but that doesn't mean it's accurate.
