Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

I got to run my 7ft snowblower on my 5155 last Sunday. Having ran it on my old one the extra horsepower made a huge difference. It will also throw sod now when you get out too far. I still only have 3.5 hours on my new 5155. Still too wet to get out on my fields but I realized I now have the ability to run a subsoiler. If it ever dries up and I can get things subsoiled to the ditches it should dry things out earlier next year.

Took delivery today of the 5145, in this video I talk about the loader joystick, just an update, I figured out what the issue was, iam a little embarrassed because I thought the issue was going to be more involved, but after looking at it closer I realized that the rubber boot was creating a vacuum and pulling itself back down, I just had to let a little air from underneath, basically burping the rubber boot, works fantastic now,I do have an issue with the 3 point valve adjuster knob, it's loose, so I have to get underneath the seat to try to re attach the knob, other than that....so far, so good, I'll let y'all know what else I find...to be continued John stark NC, having trouble uploading video, it's too large, I'll shrink it down and put up later.

That’s awesome! We’re all doing our part to stimulate the economy. Good luck with your new tractor. Have fun and stay safe. She’s a powerful thing and that’s good. But it can also get you in trouble. So be careful. Let us know how you like it when you get some seat time.

Is there a way to post a larger video file, because I shrank it down to 1.36 minutes but still too large, or should I just post it on YouTube and provide a link to the video?

Andy...thank you so much. I was concerned that I would need to depress the main clutch every time to start or stop the PTO like on my 4550. This is much better!

No problem. Glad to help. And I agree that a totally independent PTO is the way to go. Whether it’s an electric over hydraulic type actuated by a switch, or a hand clutch lever. I haven’t even hooked anything to my PTO yet. Just spooled it up to verify function. Enjoy the tractor.

My 5155 should arrive in the next couple weeks. I would like to prepare for it by reading the Operator's Manual but I can't find one on-line - preferably a digital copy. The Mahindrausa owners login probably has it but I don't have my tractor serial number to gain access. If anyone has a digital one or knows how to get it, please help. Also, Bill's Tractor has the digital service manual on sale for $40 which is a good deal.

SoldierP,
Just my two cents but the manuals that come with your 5155 are very well done and I felt having my machine onsite was helpful resolving any uncertainties I had about where a filter, filler cap, or anything else was. I admit I am not much a mechanic but being able to see something in person makes a difference for me.

I still can't get over how quiet these machines are! I am also happy about the exhaust location. No stack putting fumes in your face all day long.

I second the comments on the manuals being well done and the quietness of the engine. I was not expecting much with the manual based on my last tractor. Great tractor but lame manual. Idk if true but I actually mentioned the manual on the 5155 to my dealer in an after purchase visit and he said that the Indian made tractors generally have much better manuals than the tractors they get from Japan or Korea. So I found that interesting. I don’t know how to access the digital manual. Maybe your dealer can get you a hard copy prior to arrival of the tractor? Might be worth asking.

I am in search of a shop manual they are usually available through Bill's Tractor online.

Yes, Bill's Tractor has them in pdf form to download - $40. And it is far better than the one for my 4550 but is missing the first section that describes the tractor.

Understand the benefit of having the tractor and manual side-by-side. But I'm anxious to start learning about it. If anyone who already has the tractor can go to Owners Login | Mahindra | Houston Texas and enter their serial number, they may be able to download it and share. Thanks

The only bummer about the manual, is that they left out the wiring diagram, my 4540 had one in the back after the maintenance chart.

Follow this thread from the beginning, only minor issues for me , my 5145 continues to impress, I've done a few things recently that the 4540 struggled with, and the 5145 made short work of it, iam very pleased, however upon puting it back in the shop(as I've done several times already) I guess I didn't roll my thousand dollar insulated garage door all the way up, and the ROPS caught the bottom panel and bent the heck out of it, I guess I'll be spending my Sunday fixing the door....on a good note...the tractor is just fine 🤣

John,
Ouch for door. Glad tractor ok.
Sounds likesomething I would do. Glad yall having good luck with 5145/55.
I had been thinking of mahindra 2645 or tym474 and kioti ck4010 all smaller lighter machines. Had just recently heard of 5100 series and it definitely had my interest. My property is hilly so weight and wide stance would be better

Here’s the chart out of the owners manual. Looks like just a hair over 1 mph in low range first gear. Hope this helps.

so thumbing through the manual for my 5145 looking at the 50 hr service for cleaning the suction strainer, it says to drain the transmission fluid....wow , thats alot of fluid, so your supposed to replace all the fluid?.... hope i got enough buckets , my 4540 didn,t call for that, am i reading that correctly? i think ill run fluid through a filter and just put it right back in.
