I enjoyed the Pinto. Cheap, economical and fun to drive. They could have easily fixed the gas tank problem like they allowed Jeep to do. They added a receiver hitch as a recall and problem fixed! My brother really likes that updated “McGyver”, I’m not sure why.. I always thought the original one was a stretch.
To the OP; the worst travesty was the ‘78 to ‘83 Challenger. It was a disgrace to the name Mopar, never mind the original Challenger namesake.

The running gear was tough as nails! A couple of my HS friends had Pintos and beat the snot out of them. That was the beginning of our love affair with Japanese autos though, for some it was just an excuse to bash US iron.I enjoyed the Pinto. Cheap, economical and fun to drive. Hopefully never. I hope that Ford is still embarrassed by those vehicles. My brother really likes that updated “McGyver”, I’m not sure why.. I always thought the original one was a stretch.

Then there was the Mustang II, basically a (somewhat) sporty-looking Pinto. Collectable today, but not a worthy successor to the original. My brother really likes that updated “McGyver”, I’m not sure why.. I always thought the original one was a stretch.

Well there never was a love affair with Japanese autos for this boy.The running gear was tough as nails! A couple of my HS friends had Pintos and beat the snot out of them. That was the beginning of our love affair with Japanese autos though, for some it was just an excuse to bash US iron.
It was just a trim line of the 2WD Ranger.Never knew Ford ever built a pickup called the Edge.
Is there any pattern to JD model #s? My first tractor was a JD750, there was a 650 that was the same thing with a smaller engine, but I've never noticed any other pattern on their products.Deere 110 is confusing… lawn mower or small commercial TLB?
