4000 hrs is a lot. The engine will need a rebuild and I'd suspect the transmission would need some work too. Maybe if you were a light user of 50hrs a year it'd be ok. Otherwise I'd look for something newer and less hours if you actually are going to really use it a lot.

1268 lbs for a dry weight. That will hold a hillside. You'd be surprised at how well it does. It's the weight that does it too. My Simplicity is like that. A heavy bugger that rides well and the weight helps on side hilling.

Spend the most you are comfortable with for a good quality built machine and if bumpy in the cutting areas suspension is better but suspension seat is good too. It all adds up quickly and a good quality machine can be over 10g's.

I have both NOCO and Ctek. Both are good chargers. I think the CTek handles the charging differently for sulfonated batteries. I've had good luck keeping mine up. Including my 17' Ridgeline FLA battery. It lasted 8 years and I'm sure Ctek helped to do that. I just replaced it in October.

Since going to canned gas I've not had any problems with the rubber in any small equipment. I only use that in my small orifice devices lol. Anything larger I just siphon the old gas out and dump it in the car. I quit using Stabil and have not regretted it at all.

I have a 70's ProTill with a B&S engine and peerless transmission. It's a beast but still works for heavy duty dirt work. The gas we use is more of a problem for it than anything else these days.

The NOCO was probably the best thing you could have done and it probably brought the battery back to life. The NOCO's can desulfinate the plates after leaving to discharge on it's own. I've had very good luck with the battery being good after doing this exact thing with the NOCO chargers I have.

Since it ran last and probably had poor quality fuel still in it, I'd say a dump and fill with new gas and possibly some new fuel lines from the Ethanol/gas deterioration of them.

I think it's been mentioned on here before that the 755 is pretty old now and parts are pretty hard to get. If it were me I'd go newer. Old can be ok if parts are ok to get and reasonable cost. And if you only use it sparingly so time is on your side then for lasting power.
