I did the same thing on my X300 by making a jumper between the contacts in the plug. I also disabled the RIO by unbolting the switch from it’s mounting position and zip tied it to the frame, so it stays open all the time without needing a jumper.

As a previous post said “oil is cheap, machines are not”. I change my oil in the winter when I put my mower to bed. I don’t want dirty oil sitting in the crankcase all winter no matter the amount of hours. Sludge and dirt will just settle in the engine over the winter.

I also have an X300 and I disabled the RIO by simply unbolting the switch from its bracket and zip tying it to the frame. That way the switch stays in the run position all the time. Works perfectly.

I want to get a harness for my trimmer. It gets a little heavy after a couple of hours plus I’m not 20 anymore. Also, I’m left handed so I was hoping I could get some recommendations on a comfortable harness to attach to my Echo trimmer. Any input would be appreciate.

I solved my leaky and sometimes flat tires with putting tubes in all of them. I would never ever put any kind of stop leak crap inside my tires, no way Jose. There is such thing as a perfect seal on a tire and rim without a tube in it.

My JD x300 has that deck washing connection on the deck and it’s a waste of time. Tried it once and didn’t do much except make a mess. When I sharpen my blades I scrape the deck with a putty knife.

My owners manual recommends 10/30 motor oil and I use Valvoline 10/30 currently. I do know for a fact that any conventional oil that is rated below 10/30, such as 5/30 or lower is a synthetic blend because it is chemically impossible to make it without using a synthetic.
