Mowing MMM idler pulley came off

Mine pops off any time I try and grease the zerk right there. Annoying for such an expensive implement. I regret getting it. The grease even forced the bronze bushing up and out. I had to knock it back in.

How to look for a hydraulic level?

When my oil is new, I can't even see it in the glass it's so clear. If you think the oil it above the glass, lift the loader a little and then recheck. If the level falls within the glass, you're filled above it. If not, you may be a little low. It's a pain. Kind wish it had a dipstick.

If you're talking about the millimeter tall shoulder on one versus the other, I think when I got a replacement tie rod end for mine, I noticed the same thing. Gritty or Groaning Steering on GC

The oil is a little over a hundred hours old. The levels are fine in the front axle. The sight glass shows perfect fill level, too. Hydro oil still looks very clean-its Permatran 821xl. When I did the maintenance, I replaced the hydro fluid, filters (+oil screen), engine oil and filter, and...

Gritty or Groaning Steering on GC

Hey there, Anyone notice a sort of gritty or groaning when they turn their steering wheel? Its actually a new occurrence and I've heard/felt it the last few times I used my GC1720. If I pick up the front axle with the loader bucket, I don't feel it. It feels like I've overloaded the bucket...

    What wheels work with GC1700

Will a Kubota BX set of wheels work? I'd like to find some wheels and put different rubber on them. Massey SCUTs are rare around me. There are a lot of Kubota dealers and parts. Just curious of a set of take-offs would fit my GC1720

How far would you drive a tractor?

At the very least I would have a chase car to act as a buffer on the busy stuff. Have your signage, 4 ways, and whatever beacon you can muster. 15 miles isn't really that bad but it could be nerve wracking. Most cagers are idiots.

Why am I destroying tail wheel forks?????

I always have my tail wheel touching the ground. Do you notice any situations where your tail wheel is maybe at a 90 degree to the ground and when it contacts, it's forced to whip back in line with the tractor? That's all I can think of.

3 cylinder engine vs 4 cylinder engine

Generally all loader specs are without any attachments. So if your loader says it can lift 1000lbs, has a 200lb bucket, it has an extra 800lbs to lift. Some specs have different amounts for lift capacity at the pin and another for 24 inches or so forward of the pins-the typical edge of a bucket...

any GC owner WITHOUT a backhoe using pats hitches with mid-mower? stowage questions.

any GC owner WITHOUT a backhoe using pats hitches with mid-mower? stowage questions.

Just remove the lifting arms altogether. It's just two top bolts and a 14mm keeping the lower center link pin in place.

Mower Incompatible with Backhoe? - Massey GC17XX

I don't see why it can't. There's literally no reason. Hopefully someone else chimes in. I do it with my CB65 no issue... There shouldn't be any difference as the backhoe probably uses the same subframe and hoses. It's just an attachment.

Just unpin it here and tuck them up and away. Make sure the actual lift linkage isn't going to impinge on anything is they move a little. The belly mower uses a shared lift reference and they move together but can move independent.

Can i move a rock to the side using my backhoe?

I think you'll realize that the backhoe will dead head and not move at all if this rock you want to push is just too much for it. Will it bend the boom and dipper? I don't think so. But I'm not a backhoe doctor. I've dead head my pivot plenty of times and nothing happened.

3D Printing Tractor Parts-Loader Plug (GC Series)

Here's my first stab at it. Its a little tight but I can adjust it. I didn't add anything to make it easier to remove, yet. I think these would make most sense at the pins where mud and debris will cake on. I can get some flexible filament and print these like little push-on nipples and...

    GC1705 Adding LED Lights

There is, it's bundled into a loop with electrical tape-but its not switched and always hot when the ignition is on. Also, the gauge of the wire is not great. That's why I ran my own. I abandoned the rear work-light and the accessory circuit. I just didn't like how they were ran. The...

    GC1700 - Fuel Cap

Anyone know what the diameter of the hole and thread pitch is of the fuel cap on a MF GC1700 series? Is it a standard that I could easily look up? Thanks!!

3D Printing Tractor Parts-Loader Plug (GC Series)

Hi there. I noticed that my GC1720 did not have a cap on the crossover tube on the loader arms. I see this cap on a good many others around the internet. I'm sure it serves a purpose so I decided to make my own. I also made one with a Massey Ferguson logo in it but haven't put it on yet...

    GC1705 Adding LED Lights

This is how I ran my lighting on my GC1720. I ran the wiring along all the factory pathways. I disconnected the stock backhoe lighting circuit and capped/abandoned it for a custom ran one. All connections are weather-pack connectors and double heat-shrink wrapped. The wiring itself is thick...

    GC1700 Wheel Sizes?

Hey everyone, I would like to get a second set of wheels and tires. I have the R4-and while they've been great so far for everthing I've needed, I think a set of turf tires for mowing the grass would be safer for my lawn. I have some soft soil areas around my property and until I properly...

Today I had 17 tons of gravel delivered to add to my driveway. I was a little worried using the tractor to do it but figured what the ****, what else am I going to use. ッ \_(ツ)_/ ッ She goes, she goes. She blows, she blows. What the ****, right? Well, the vibration and weirdness was...

PROBLEM HELP! 2018 GC1720 only 6 hours and developed a strong vibration

Hey there, I'm quite new and recently posted a thread about my new tractor. I'm tossing this one up with the hope of getting some insight on what I should do about an issue I'm having. I just took ownership of this tractor about 10 days ago. Only ran it around the yard, idled it a little...

New Member with some questions-2018 Massey Ferguson GC1720

Hello everyone, I took ownership of a 2018 GC1720 about two weeks ago-it had 2 hours on it. The weather has been wet here in Ohio, so I haven't had any time to really enjoy my tractor and test it out. I only have about 6 hours on it and that's mostly stationary idling or learning the backhoe...
