Trying to attach a Massey-Fergus Model L Post Auger to compact tractor

Haha, yeah he loaded it in truck with the old tractor. I think I have convinced the wife we can buy one.

Trying to attach a Massey-Fergus Model L Post Auger to compact tractor

Haha. Yeah, he is my wife's great uncle and lives over 100km away, and hist tractor is likely 10,000lbs, so even a car hauler wouldn't get it here. I thought about building an extension... I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I went out and took it apart and flipped the gear box so I could...

Trying to attach a Massey-Fergus Model L Post Auger to compact tractor

These are good options if I owned it. :) I am borrowing it. The guy I am borrowing for likely hasn't used it in 30 years, but he isn't interested in getting rid of it. The brackets for the U piece are welded on. So flipping it would push those arms down 3-4" (height of frame, plus bit bracket...

Trying to attach a Massey-Fergus Model L Post Auger to compact tractor

I just had someone tell me their father used to have one like it, and you could flip it upside down like I suspected. Trying to decide if it is worth the effort, I am worried some of those old bolts may snap off in the process... they likely haven't moved in 60 years.

Trying to attach a Massey-Fergus Model L Post Auger to compact tractor

I borrowed a MF Model L post auger from someone to use with my Bobcat CT 2035 tractor. It seems to not use the top link of the 3pt hitch. I got it connected, but I can't lift it enough to get the auger off the ground. See the images. Has anyone had any luck getting one of these to work with a...

    Pallet fork width adjustment

So I found an old set of pallet forks on our property. I removed the mounting brackets (allis-chalmers) on them, and added a quick-attach bracket. The left fork adjusts in/out to change the spacing between the two forks. The problem is that the sliding is really rough in some spots and loose in...

    Post hole digger

That auger is $2500CAD here, so I would say you got it for roughly 50% off retail. Nice find. I have not used one of these, but I don't think the hydraulic help with the lift too much, your 3pt hitch system will handle that, and would be more powerful than the ram, I assume. Post augers don't...

    Snowblower and crushed rock driveway

Had the first dump of the season, so i got to try out the ne (to me) snowblower. I threw a lot of rocks. It was only 0c so the ground was soft and the shoes sunk. Oil for CT20235

Thanks @FOP. I believe the CT2025 has the same front capacites as the CT2035, so I will need the same. I don't see any mention of CK-4, only of CJ-4 and ACEA E9. What engine oil did you use?

    Oil for CT20235

    1. In the manual, for engine oil, it mentions I can use 5W-40 synthetic. In the part numbers section of manual it lists bobcat part numbers for various oils, but not one for 5w-40 synthetic. Loaded tires filled with....antifreeze?

I am wondering how much fluid I will need. This is my tire: Rear Industrial Tire, 15 x 19.5, 7385101. By my math that is roughly 215L (about 55 us gal) per tire. Does that sound right? The cheapest I can find water system antifreeze is $35 for 19L (Canadian Tire) which means about $800 CAD...

Question about first 50 hour maintenance

Yeah it is likely cheaper for me do ylwhat you did, than get the FF option at purchase time. I know all the tractors on our farm were AG, but I thought most of the non small tractors were FF when I was looking at the 20-40hp Kubotas, Kioti, and Bobcat.

Why the default couplers on the grapples AG and not Flatface? Or am I reading that wrong? It looks like it is an $80 upgrade to add a male/femail flat face. Don't the majority of CUT's use flat face? I would have thought that quick-attach and flat face go hand-in-hand.

Any have experience ordering from Canada? Curious how much shipping and duty and brokerage fees were. They are made in US so should be no duty... Anyway curious how much you paid above website price after delivery.

    CT2035 pricing

I think a lot depends when they made their orders. Dealer told me factory inform him last week that all new order will have a 5% steel surcharge going forward, and his costs on tractors has been going up almost monthly from factory.

    CT2035 pricing

Finally heard back from another dealer. They want $2k more for 2035 but only $900 more than that for the 2040. But it is out of province so tax is 10% more. So I think I'll stick with the local 2035, as agreed to do add the rear remotes for $1k installed.

    CT2035 pricing

Are you in Canada? The dealer here has a 2040 and 2035 in stock. He said the best he can do on the 2040 is $28,500 with all fees (except tax). I hear a lot of people saying the 2040 and 2035 price difference can be less than $1k. I mentioned that to sales guy, and he said that they have had...

    Remotes at purchase time

I was shut down hard. He told me he didn't have an inch to move on price. He was going to see if he could maybe cut me a deal on ordering a kit in, so we'll see.

Adding a grapple at time of purchase vs adding later

I am watching two on RB. :) Based on the RB history, they seem to be going for about 2-3x more than what my brother paid on RB a year ago... but still decent deals. It seems like the ones that RB calls ALL-STAR are actually wildkat's. Not really any used ones (which makes sense base on the...

    CT2035 pricing

I am being quoted $25,900CAD + tax. But that with no options. Tractor is in stock. Does have the FL8 FEL. It looks like they through in labour for the hydraulic kits for you? Or are you installing?

    Remotes at purchase time

I am dealing on a ct2035 hst. I tried to get a deal on 3rd function, but they would move at all because it was backordered for months. I ended up ordering a summit kit for when I don't get tractor. I am reading the threads here and it seems like every orders with the rear remotes. I may try and...

I talked to them today. It is the universal 15 gpm kit with flat face couplers.

Adding a grapple at time of purchase vs adding later

Haha, sorry about that: Bobcat dealer got back to me, and the part number for the one they sell is 7392994. They want $1100, but it is back-ordered. Given the price and it being back-ordered, they were not willing to deal on that item. :) Based on the youtube link above, I am wondering if...

Adding a grapple at time of purchase vs adding later

Ok, found a video of a bobcat mechanic doing it. Looks fairly simple. It looks like summit just sells a universal, though they have Kubota specific kits. The WR Long one is Bobcat, but they won't ship to Canada.

    Bobcat ct2025 3rd function DIY ct2035 ct2040 installation

Adding a grapple at time of purchase vs adding later

I am picking up a ct2035 from Bobcat (Kioti ck3510 equiv) this week. I can't afford the grapple I want right now, but I can always buy a grapple bucket later, hopefully used. But I will need the hydraulics to run it. Bobcat is saying they don't have the hydraulic kits in stock, and figured it...

Need a cheap 25hp old tractor

Lol. When I moved out there, I remember leaving tools outside overnight so could finish a project in the morning I swear to god my pliars and hammer hand traces of rust on them overnight. It is crazy. In the prairies, you could find a 50 year old pair of pliars in the dirt in a pasture and...

Buying Advice How frequent is the free loader program (Kioti/Bobcat)?

Nice joke. Crossed my mind as I typed it. :) I was told the free loader program has been extended. Local dealer has a ct2035hst in stock. Will do $24,900 cad ($21,000 usd) plus tax. Because I am moving across country (3000 miles) he can wave the provincial tax too. I'll pull the trigger on...

Buying Advice  How frequent is the free loader program (Kioti/Bobcat)?

It looks like I missed out on the free loader program with Kioti and Bobcat. The only programs they have on in my region right now is $500 off loader and $1500 off the tractor, which is a far cry from the free front end loader (worth about $5500). I don't really need the tractor until next...

    Kioti vs Bobcat

Good to know. Seat switch would be a PITA for some attachments like a wood chipper, or log splitter. Though seat switch are generally pretty trivial to bypass. It looks like Kioti calls the SE models with independent PTO. i.e., the CK3510HST vs CK3510SE HST.
  115. S

    Kioti vs Bobcat

Actually I just noticed that the CT2035 HST brochure says it has a independent PTO, while the CK3510 says it has a live PTO... that seems odd that would have different systems. Edit: bobcat's website says it is a live PTO, so the brochure must be wrong. I am not sure how much a live PTO...

    Rototiller for IH 784

I was looking to buy a compact tractor, but recently was given an IH 784 (Utility model) with loader and grapple. B2601 vs kioti ck2610

For our new 10acre lot, I am looking at a Kubota b2601. Would be used for landscaping, snowplowing, mowing, and clearing. The equivalent kioti seems to be the ck2610. Given the extra weight of the kioti, I am wondering if I would rather have the lighter weight of the Kubota for mowing?
