How do I create a level grade with a landscape rake (LR1684) & gauge wheels?

I do have a heavy rear multi-angle blade - maybe I will swap that out to try to do some angled blade leveling/grading. I have been pulling the rake square/perpendicular to the tractor thus far. Thank you all for the help.

How do I create a level grade with a landscape rake (LR1684) & gauge wheels?

Thank you for the tip, I have had the rake square/perpendicular with the tractor. When you angle the rake, do I need to set one gauge wheel lower than the other?

How do I create a level grade with a landscape rake (LR1684) & gauge wheels?

Hi all, I've had an LR1684 for two years now and have been working to level out my beach - I recently hauled in 50 yards of clean sand and added a set of gauge wheels to the landscape rake with the idea being it would provide an equal depth of cut without following the contours of the land...

Price aside, what are the use cases for double acting rear remotes vs float remotes?

When you say they self center do you mean it would move the blade once you take your hand off the remote? If so, that seems not desirable?

Price aside, what are the use cases for double acting rear remotes vs float remotes?

bdhs that’s exactly how mine work. That’s why I was questioning why anyone wouldn’t want that extra float detent position?

Price aside, what are the use cases for double acting rear remotes vs float remotes?

I only have float remotes. Price aside, what are the use cases where you’d want a double acting rear remote over a float rear remote? thank you.

That’s disappointing that they’re trying to make you pay while it’s under warranty. Are you able to view the fuel separators, or have a sample of the fuel analyzed? I was thinking there is a code for water in fuel.

Will 10 Horsepower actually matter on the same size tractor?

I thought I wanted a 40 horse and ended up with a 60 horse L6060 because I wanted a front mid PTO driven blower and also the bigger loader lift capacity. The extra cash hurt a lot and I smile every time I start the tractor. I did also drive myself wild trying to decide between the “utility”...

Rear blade for an L6060 - snow + gravel maintenance

Yeah, both the RB and the RBT can be offset. I think I’m going to go with the RBT3986 with one cylinder for angle and I can always add more cylinders later if necessary but for snow cleanup the occasional manual offset shouldn’t be a big deal.

Rear blade for an L6060 - snow + gravel maintenance

Hi all, Looking to add a rear blade for supplemental snow removal (have a front blower on an L6060) and am eyeing up the RB3796, possibly with the hydraulic angle cylinder. Do you think this will be a good fit for the L6060? I also plan to do some general gravel road maintenance with it as I...

Hi all theres a like new : never used woods HBL84-2 listed in my area for $1200 and I’m trying to figure out if that’s a decent price as I didn’t see too much online and I don’t think woods makes that model anymore? It looks heavy and like it has a manual offset. It’s go on the back of my...

I’m going to go with the utility version and if I’m unhappy with it this winter will trade it in on the commercial version. I am attracted by the additional 140 impeller rpm of the utility version as well as the 360lbs weight savings as well as that the L6060 is at the top of the power rating...

    Snowblower sizing

Hello if you have a 62hp tractor (L6060) with 53hp at the pto would you rather operate a utility snowblower rated for 20-60hp at the PTO or a larger, heavier commercial snowblower rated for 35-80p at the PTO? cut widths are the same but the commercial has a bigger fan and auger and several...

    Thinking about a new saw

Do the JD hydraulic front blowers with rear PTO power packs work well?

Have an L6060 with mid PTO and front PTO driven blower. Recently saw a similar JD and the blower was hydraulic and powered by a rear PTO power pack. That must be JD’s solution and I was slightly confused as to why they didn’t do a mid PTO as you can’t hang a rear blade off the back. Does the...

I am looking at the big tool rack and their promo material claims they've had no returns in 7 years. Beach maintenance: chain harrow, landscape rake, rocks, other?

Beach maintenance: chain harrow, landscape rake, rocks, other?

Hi all, Recently got first tractor (L6060) and have been using it to clear our beach which on the lake side is mostly sand and on the grass side is mostly dirt. After back-blading to tear up most of the grass and roots I started dragging a drag/chain harrow with the tines in the down/dig...

L6060 Cab height of 92.5" - tire question

The documented specs on the L6060 HSTC cab height are 92.5" which leaves me 2" to spare on my 8' garage bay. For the specs, do they use the tallest tire option to document the cab height? Hi all, Never owned a tractor before but recently built a home on a lake that's tucked away down a 1/3 mile private gravel road (note that I consider the house driveway and the 1/3 mile gravel road to be separate) and each day when I drive by the tractor dealer on my way home I find myself...
