Well after trying stick welding I have decided I hate it... Too many variables. I love MIG, have a Hobart Handler 140 and though I would get the Hobart Ironman 230 as it will weld up to 1/2" and that would work for anything I would ever do. Anyone have this machine? Likes dislikes?
I have a cylinder that is 36" from center of hole to center of hole while closed... I am trying to figure out what will be the length when extended fully. Can I put air in the cylinder to extend it? This is all new to me and I am trying to make a log splitter. Any formulas.... The label on the...
Anyone using 7014 rod? I am thinking of using it over the top of an ugly 6011 weld. Seems like it would make a pretty bead and already have the strength of the 6011. Tried 7018 at 90 amps but it is difficult to use and I need more practice. Welder is an Everlast 200ST
I want to use 7024 rod for repairing a wood stove and was wondering if anyone has used it? I can not find smaller quantities so I will have to buy 50lbs which if it will run right I have no problem getting. My interest in this rod is it is a drag rod and seams to put down a pretty bead. What...
