1st Ever using a single Bottom Plow on a B2320 Comedy?

Plowed more today. Did much better job. Ground was wet and clogged up the plow some but when it went down it done great. Need to get it sanded down and painted and spry it with something slick and do the adjustments on wheel and maybe disc.
Someone somewhere mentioned PTO speeds. My B2320 has 540 and 9?? at rear PTO and 2600 or 2400 at mid PTO and maybe the 9?? at mid.

You probably don't want to paint it. For a plow to work well it needs to 'scour' which means rub all the paint or rust off until it is very slick, shiny metal. In sandy soil this isn't a problem as the plow scours quickly, but in something like garden loam it can be tough to get it to plow clean. The best thing to do is take a wire wheel on a grinder and go over it until all the rust and paint is off the moldboard, then use it. After you are done spray it down with wd-40 or other light oil to prevent rust until next time you use it.

Your plow has a slatted moldboard which is especially designed for sticky soil so once you get it cleaned up it should work well.

I actually plowed my garden and my fathers garden today using my old 2-bottom plow(it's way too big for my Kubota). Used it on his new Deere 5045E and my old Ford NAA, interesting comparison, but that's for another thread.

Thanks for the tips. I didn't have any problems with the front not being weighted while plowing but when I'd lift plow and turn around and go up to a higher speed I could/was doing wheelies. Guess I'll start shopping yard sales for exercise weights. Exercise equipment is the number one seller at yard sales, wonder why?:laughing:

The suitcase weights from Kubota aren't that expensive, like $180 for a set of three (which is all you would need.) It would be a good investment for a tractor that is regularly using 3pt implements without a loader.

I guess not expensive is a relative term. To you $180 (Barlows says $50 apiece) is not expensive and to me $40 exercise weights are not expensive.
My regularly using 3ph implements may be 20 hours per year, maybe less, probably a lot less..

They use a lot of those temporary class rooms all lined up in a row, similar to the buildings in the video.

I guess that was a bit off the beaten path...
