New bronco ? :reading: :reading:

I love it! Looks like a home run for Ford! I'll take a 4 door 2.7 in Cactus Grey. That is just bad-azz!

Can't wait for some road test reviews....

Our F dealership said to change the oil at 5000 miles and disregard the onboard computer much longer suggestion. I liked that!

Is the warranty retained using the onboard suggestions? (% life left in oil).

I have no idea, but seems the trucks computer would have us going for years between oil changes. The dealer basically said to change at mileages, which would have been long before the computer would say to. Does that answer your qestion???

I have a good condition Toyota FJ so I will have to pass on drooling over the new Bronco. But it sure does does look GREAT! Still have my eyes on the Ranger but am real curious now if the 2.7 is going to be offered in it.... :confused3:

If I go by the computer it will be every 10k miles or every 10 months.

I would give that a 99.999% chance of yes! :cool2: Based on the Bronc, I'm even more excited to what the new Ranger will look like!

The new Ranger came out last year, 2019 - looks great.

No, I'm talking about the all new American market Ranger due in 2022, based on the new Bronco platform. The current Ranger is a tweaked version of the global Ranger platform that's been out for a while over seas. It's nice little truck for sure, but this new one should be a game changer in the mid size segment.

Are you saying the new 2019 Ranger will be replaced by the 2022 Ranger or will the 2022 Ranger be an additional model?

I am not one to buy a first year anything, I like to give em a few years to work out the bugs

I've read 2 possibilities, the 2022 will totally replace the 2019 the other plan is they may continue the current model Ranger but only a stripped down version for fleet/commercial use and the new model will be the main one for the public.

I don't know if anybody has the shorter cab style, aka "super cab"; if so, can you tell me if the rear windows open?
I've been waffling between this, and a Tacoma. The Toyota setup I want though; access cab, V-6 manual transmission; is almost as rare as hens teeth, and with the current health crap going around I don't want to drive to Massachusetts for a truck.

The rear door windows do not open one in the super cab versions. In the trim package we got, ours came with the sliding rear window which we have opened a few times to keep the mutts cool. Seems that we don't miss the open-able rear door windows.

Thank you. My dog likes to ride at low speeds with his nose out the window. My 2004 Ranger has a rear slider and I think that sometimes he falls asleep with his nose out the back window. I was hoping that truck would last another year but it needs front end and other work, and the frame is getting too soft to spend the money to fix it.
I'm also finding that the new truck stocks are depleted, while used trucks are almost impossible to find.

I've been looking on both Ford's website and at various dealerships, but can't find where they are still offering the rear sliding window. Certainly none of the trucks on the lots have them. This will be a deal breaker for me as I'm only interested in the Supercab, which also has fixed windows in the rear doors.

I lost a brakeline on my '04 today and don't plan to fix it; so need to find something soon. I may end up with a used Ram, if I can't find something new that I want.
It's really pretty sad that a full sized truck with a V-8 Hemi can give MPG comparable to a small 4 cylinder pickup.

They have the rear sliding window on the Supercab. It is a $225 option on the Ford Ranger build site. The dealer might be able to put one in for you.

Now I found it, I was looking in the wrong place.

I'd guess the sliding rear downwind is standard on the 2 fancier models. Our XLT has it.

The sad part is that I would have to drive 350 miles to find anything that I would want in a Ford, Toyota, or Chevy. Small trucks aren't very popular up here, and most of what I can find is a big 4 door with 5'bed... completely useless to me.

I thought the dealerships had to stock one of every version they build. I'll assume you have called your nearest F dealership? I don't like a 5ft box either.
