Stopped the tractor the other day dead while hitting a rock

I've done that several times myself, while I still had the LD bracket. After reading this thread, I desided that was one piece of insurance that I would like to have. When that sudden stop happens (and after you put your teeth back in your mouth /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif), the first thing you do is look things over to make sure you haven't pulled anything apart....

I mentioned this in another post but it I think it bears repeating. All you who are useing back blades or winches would be wise to get the HD bracket.

I never thought about it too much before but a 3PH was designed to pull not push. When we back up into snow banks to push them back, or worse when your backing up and that hard object jumps out and stops you it puts a tremendous pull on the top bracket bolts.

My winch also puts enough pull on the top link to lift the front of the tractor off the ground, something I try not to do. I for one am going to change to the heavy duty part.

I am a little upset at the dealer I told him what I was going to do with the tractor and he never mentioned there was a heavy duty bracket I should have installed when it was new. I gladly would have paid the extra in cost to prevent serious injury to the tractor.

Glueguy, is that the part no that works for the 2410? I was looking at that area the other day thinking that it was not very impressive. I think I should get one also. I was going to make something myself but for 80 dollars that is cheaper than my time. I hate to say it but the BX looks stronger in this area for it's size than the 2410.
This new bracket appears to spread the load over more fasteners and also with the addition of the top plate puts some of them in the prefered shear load path mode. As they are now it is a tension/compression load.

J,

Don't really know, although as I've stated previously, it sure does look like the same bracket as a 2710/2910. Since the 2410 and the 7500 are essentially the same frame, I would bet that it's darn close to the same (although I would sure check before I ordered it /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif). Probably not the answer you were looking for, huh? /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

According to my BH parts book (Kubota 4690A), the 70050-00540 bracket fits the following models:

B1700
B7300
B7400
B7500
B2100
B2400
B2410
B2710
B2910

This is the bracket I sold to Von (I had an extra).

When my winch lifted the front of my tractor in the air the other day, I was glad to have this bracket. That's more lifting than my backhoe has done.

Interesting that that range of tractors all use essentially the same top link bracket. Makes me feel good that I'm using an HD top link bracket for a B2910 on my little ol' Lucy!. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

The bracket part #70050-94557 according to my dealer is the newer one that has a cutout for the breather tube that GlueGuy has on his 7500.

Does anyone know if this applies to the L series too?
Nevermind, I just saw the other thread.....
