I would go with a 8ft if I were you. Sometimes I have issues with the tires laying the grass down on the edges because the outside of my tires are right at the outside edge of the brush hog. Hope that makes sense. Only happens when the grass is a little wet.

4mph and 1910ish at 540 for me as well. I’m using a phone app for the speed so I’m not as accurate on that. My speed gauge isn’t accurate on the tractor. Reads 11mph when I’m doing over 20mph.

I finaly got the chance to use the new-to-me box blade yesterday. Gannon 80". I was a little concerned that it wouldnt cover my tracks but it did and worked great. I was very pleased with the 4707 yet again. Now I just need to install a tnt kit and another remote. qItA7f40Q32wJfUb8qmiOA.jpg7cj78%qmSCWv7JCkbY1Orw.jpg

Daugen or puddie do you guys use a quick hitch for rear implements? My dealer sold me a land pride quick hitch and woods implements. I know it shouldn稚 matter the brands but I am having a **** of a time. What do you guys use?
I was told it does matter. That痴 the issue with a QH. You really need to match it to the brand of implements for a fully compatible fit.

I do not run a Quick Hitch. The fender mounted 3point controls make them unnecessary in my opinion

I installed Pats quick hitch a couple weeks ago and really like it so far. You still have to hook up the top link manually but the bottom two are much easier and faster. I like Pats system because you can adjust the spacing for different brand implements. Just my opinion. I have not been using a tractor my whole life so I am sure other people are better at it than me.

As I have stated before, did not have much luck with my LP quick hitch, even with LP implements.
Like BigPuddie, with the pin in hole stabilizers, and extendable lower links, which is exactly what my past Kubota had,
I have not had trouble hooking things up except for pto collar, but that's due to my hand arthritis, not design, though
I think pto attachment needs to come a long way. We need a pto attachment with electromagnets, simple on and off switch...

before I go to attach anything I unpin the lower links, extend the forks, and get everything "loose". Then I just have to get within a couple of inches
with the tractor, put it in park, and then the links adjust to the implement. Having the optional outside rear three point controls makes this easier too, though I think the nanny logic in the hydraulics is frustrating at times, won't turn on until you do an up and down cycling of buttons, sometimes takes me several cycles to get it to function.
Anyone else have reluctant rear hydraulic controls?

Pat's conversion kit seems to be pretty well liked here. If I were stuck with the first set of turn style adjusters they gave me, I'd have looked into that.
But after they put the pin in hole stabilizers on that likely should have been on there since the beginning (hard to believe they would make that an option), it all became
acceptably easy for me. Personally, make the whole thing attach with electromagnets and I'd be happy. Could be age, arthritis, etc etc.

What pin hole stabilizers did you get? I am using pats because I still have the turn style and they can forever to adjust. And yes my rear hydraulics are the same. I have to move the lever up and down sever times and then they work. I thought it was just mine.... guess not.

I complained enough to my dealer he swapped the oem screw style lower arm stabilizers out for the ones that apparently come standard on other Massey's, I think a 4708 he had on their lot. I guess the 4707 is decontented a little to get to a price point. But those turn style adjusters are miserable IMHO

Top 5 Worst Tractor Attachments - YouTube
2nd most disappointing attachment: Quick Hitch
see about 4 1/2 minutes in, video is worth watching anyway

I love the reference to LP's Quick Hitch not lining up with their own implements with the QH sticker on...
exactly my experience.

mowed roadsides on a very hot day, first time I had to switch the a/c fan to 3 out of 4
