I am an excellent translator.

On Sundays. In Google.

Just click on "language tools" to the right of the search box. Any native speaker will tell you how bad the machine translations suck but they are better than nothing.

The bucket in Flyhiflylo's avatar seems to have plenty of bucket curl . Is it a similar tractor to yours Rob ? Or does it not have a QH .
He does have the quick hitch, but his is a Jinma 554 with the self-leveling feature. I'm not so sure he doesn't have the same problem as I had... it might be exactly the same, not sure though.
Any 554 owners out there care to comment? mariner?
What about you Scott? I'll stop by your place to take a look at it when I check out your hydraulics.

Hi Rob,

I don't seem to have any problems wih my FEL - none that I have noticed yet ayway. I suppose my biggest complaint could be thatthe side uprights are not as heavy as I think they should be. The flex quite a bit when I lift a full bucket. Yes,I have the quick attachment and so far, haven't noticed any problems.

Jim

I was wondering by reading your changes what was the general purpose that the FEL would be used in China. That might be some help to why it was set up the way it was. I found that with my Koyker bucket I'm not sure how to use it for manuer. Up tell now it's been I point at the piles and the the kids get it and bring it to me. If I use the bucket and save the kids then I will be able to put them on toilet duty or weed patrol more. ..

Good question Jim,
I don't know the answer, but from what I've heard, they don't use the FEL in China nearly as much as we do here in the states. That is, they use the tractors for pulling more than anything. So I suspect most of the Chinese tractors used there never see an FEL.
As far as using your Koyker, it should be pretty straight forward moving at the pile like you're gonna scoop it up. But when you get into it a ways, you start to curl the bucket and lift the FEL up while still driving slowly forward ... like slicing a piece of cheese off but in an upward direction once the bucket is into the pile and curled. I don't have manure piles but I that when loading dirt, so I would think it's very similar. I've found if I can get the driving into the pile and curl and lift the bucket properly, I get a heaping bucketful every time.

What, you don't have rocks for them to pick? (fond memories of WI)

If the manure is heavily mixed with hay or straw it won't scoop up so easy. You will need something with long teeth like this:
Woods Equipment Company - MANURE FORKS: Woods MF-series
I remember seeing some like that with a slide-on bucket body for combination use. Of course if you have quick attach a separate bucket is more convenient.

Alternatively you could make a toothbar with extra long teeth. You just wouldn't have as much leverage since the load would be further from the pivot.

Here is my toothbar that could be made with longer teeth.
The teeth are 1x1 hot rolled steel
