Any 554 owners out there care to comment? mariner?
What about you Scott? I'll stop by your place to take a look at it when I check out your hydraulics.
Hi Rob
Haven't used my tractor (Jinma 554)much at all so since the snow went in April (long story), but just started using it today to take apart a failed septic pressure sand mound. This mound is about 80' long and 35' wide and is around 3.5' high at the centre. This system failed and has been replaced. The sand and gravel etc. has to be removed to somewhere else.
Today I started moving some material and it has turned out to be a little harder than I thought because:
Sand was pretty wet and heavy and when the bucket was as full I could get I could dig a hole with the rear wheels "likkidty - split' before I was aware of it. My rear tires need filling methinks.
Anyway the bucket does not seem level at all, when in maximum curl. I would guess and say that it is at about 10 degrees from horizontal and the bucket was only about 1/2 full at the rear. I am pretty sure that this is what you are talking about Rob, isn't it?
When I used the tractor to move the snow, it was completely different as the snow keeps the profile of the bucketas it is forced in. The wet sand doesn't want to move even (it is also very heavy), though the pea gravel should work much better when I get to it.
I think this problem must be pretty common with the Jinma FEL with the self leveling arrangement.
Has Scott said anything about his bucket on his yellow Jinma ?
I guess I will have to learn to live with it for a while at least - too much work piling up in other areas at the moment. I have bookmarked your thread for reference in case I get the chance to do something about it.
Thx
