Adding Kubota rear remotes

/ Adding Kubota rear remotes #41
Do any of you have 3 rear remotes on your L5030HSTC ? I have 2 now and planning to add the third, got the L8307 and L8304 kits from Ebay, but it looks very cramped in there between the valve end cover and the cab frame. Before I take the wheel and fender off it would be good to know that it will fit...

Let me add something for guys with multiple remotes who don't use them a lot. Last year I had some overheating issues on a tractor and after lots of angst and dealer diagnoses, it turned out to be a stuck lever for one of the remotes. It wasn't stuck enough to squeal but was stuck enough to cause a problem. Solution is to make sure your levers are not stuck by giving them a quick push in both directions every now and than.

I have the same tractor and also have been thinking seriously of adding that third remote. Be sure to post if you do it.

No one with a L5030 HSTC and 3 remotes ?

Not exact same model but I have triple remotes. Here's my install

Very nice install thread, thanks.

I will post all info in my thread about my L5030 here: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/.../327592-just-bought-l5030hstc.html?highlight=

Hi guys. Reviving this thread with a question or two.

After you actually got them installed and tested, do either of the Kubota OEM valves (L8303, L8304) have the capability to provide full continuous flow for something like a log splitter? With a detent, or would it have to be mechanically locked in place?

If NOT, has anyone found a valve WITH a detent that will match up to and stack with the Kubota valves (and still fit)?

Excellent question. My whole parts list for my model only offers float or double acting. I really wanted a detent option.. Don't like the bungie concept but seems many use it..

Good point.. I always flip all 3 back and forth after shutdown to release pressure and try to feel the hoses to make sure there isn't a particularly hot one...

Don't know about other models, but the factory stacking valves for my L3200 seem to be made by Husco.

I believe the L3200 had the option of double-acting, double acting with float detent, and double acting with detent for the valves.

Have 2 valves on the GL3130 GST. One valve normal second one has up and down with float. The piping for the stacking kits is on the small side and would not want to run extended with the valve held open with bungee cord for splitter because of the heat build up. Have a backhoe loop that is connected between loader and 3 pt hitch which I would feel comfortable using full time but the flow would make the ram on the splitter cycle time too long.

I do have an older Speeco 34 ton splitter with 8HP 2 stage pump putting out 15gpm and none of the medium sized utility tractors come close to that flow.

PTO might give you enough flow for decent speed.
