Bob,
It's great knowing that there are both tractor and internet/computer experts to rely on here at TBN.
I did know that net medic was no longer supported, but I didn't know that the results are not "real" all the
time. You asked some detailed questions, so I have some detailed answers;
Computer is a 2 year old homebuilt celeron 450 with ASUS zm6 motherboard, 128 meg of PC 100 RAM, 6 gig
HD, 1 year old zoom 56k win modem - 3 week old update.
OS is Win98 first edition
browser Netscape 4.75
I tried 6.0 when I initially had the "stalls", with no change in performance, just other bugs.
ISP is CVOL.net a local provider here in Wisconsin
I am downloading a traceroute program in a secondary window currently and I will hop on it during the next
stall.
Once again, when I get a "TBN stall", I can go to a different site and get zippty quick response. I can then go
back to TBN and it is stalled. I can go to "www.tractorbynet.com" rather than just "back" and it is still stalled.
I can hop to netscape.com which loads a ton of graphics, and it's zippty quick. I'm not saying my setup or
computer is perfect (far from it), those are just the symptoms that I am experiencing.
Oh, one other thing that I notice during a stall, the header for "Tractorbynet.com" listing "home" to "links" will
often load, but the remainder of the screen is blank during the stalled minute or so.
Thanks again for the input and support!
John Bud
